Ladies, just go for it. I really needed a good quality pair of cold-weather booties for our place in NC but didn't want to spend a fortune on that other big-named brand. I did extensive research before ordering these and I'm so happy I did! Unlike some dupes, these actually have real shearling throughout the entire boot. My feet were comfortable and toasty but not at all sweaty. I've received several compliments in the short time I have owned them. I was initially going to order a size up but because I basically wear them without socks and knew they were going to stretch out a little I went with my true size and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend if you're on a budget but still striving for quality. I would buy from this company again.

I really wanted to love these boots! They are sooo cute in the picture! As a short girl I loved the idea of getting a boost of a few inches from the platform soles. When they arrived I was so excited! They easily slipped onto my feet (I normally wear 7.5 and ordered an 8, they were a bit loose) and they were SO COMFY!! Then I clunked my way over to the full length mirror and couldn’t help but just laugh and laugh. I was quite surprised to see that these looked absolutely ridiculous on me! Nothing at all like how I hoped it would look. It just looked like I had massive chonky feet! It was a hard no, I took them off and put them back in the box for return. Then I gave it a minute and thought, ok maybe it was just different looking and I wasn’t used to it. The boots are SO CUTE by themselves, how could it have been that bad? So I took them back out and gave them another look in the mirror. NOPE. They just looked sooo comically huge on my feet. Maybe it was because I ordered the black ones and it all just blended together to look like enormous moon boots? Part of me wonders if a lighter color would have a different effect. Sadly I packaged them back up and decided to return. If you’re confident that you can pull off this look, all the power to you! I really wish that I could have. They really are very comfortable and cute boots (although they do have this satin ribbon on the back that kept untying in the few steps I took in them, if I had kept the shoes I 100% would have cut that off). Another thing is, they felt a little dangerous to walk in. The facts that there is no ankle support, and they’re several inches off the ground, just felt like a rolled ankle waiting to happen. Aesthetically I wasn’t a fan of the inner shearling around the ankle being white, which stands out in contrast against the entirely black boot, especially when wearing black pants as I was. But other than those things I really did notice the high quality of these boots, and really wish they had worked out for me! I do want to note, this is my 3RD pair of Mel & Syd boots that I’ve bought. They are a REALLY GOOD brand and make high quality authentic Australian sheepskin/shearling shoes, and my other 2 pairs look so great on, which is what made it all the more surprising that these didn’t work out. I highly recommend this brand!

These are so great! Fits true to size, warm, comfortable, made well, lots of sheepskin for lining, nice outer suede leather. Great price for the product. Style is just like the other big name brand but this price is so reasonable.

Really comfy. I love that the sizes go up to half sizes. I’m usually a size 9, but with these type of shoes they tend to be a bit tighter because of the sheep wool. So it was nice going up .5. They look very high quality. I had compliments from many people. Very affordable compared to over $200 from … (you know who)…. I’m in love. And I will probably be rebuying multiple colors as well as gifting them.

I wear a 9.5 regular type shoe, like a dress shoe. But for running shoes and boots, I wear an 11 size. This shoe was slightly too big for the way I size my shoes but I think a 10 would be too small. There is a strap on the upper heel to help you remove the boots. I think the boots are reasonably able to be put on and taken off while wearing light to medium weight socks. I think heavy weight wool socks would be too thick to don and doff the boots. I think the quality of the boot is about a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. The soles are not pressed up very tight to the outside boot material and a little fur came out the first time I took my foot out of the boot. The boot keeps my feet very warm and I think a heavy weight sock would make your feet too warm. I have read about the shoe and think it is water resistant and not waterproof. The seller says not to wash the boot with water. I’m personally not planning to wear them in the rain or step into any puddles. The style is slightly masculine looking but that could be because they are the largest sized boot available. When compared to very expensive competitors, then this shoe would be one I would pick because it’s functional to keep your feet warm, practical to walk on snow, and are much more budget friendly when choosing a boot. UPDATE: I am going to return these boots after all. The negatives outweighed the positives for me. The top of the toe area is too rounded. The boots kind of look like steel toed work boots. Maybe they just look so masculine on me because they are a size 11 and would look better on someone in a smaller size.
