I’m really happy with this mat. The raised lip around the edge is probably my favorite feature. It makes it so easy to collect any food or water that spills out of the bowls and just dump it straight into the trash—no mess left behind. The silicone material is high quality, BPA-free, and totally waterproof, which is a huge bonus for keeping my floors dry and clean. I also appreciate that it's easy to clean—just a quick wipe or rinse, and it’s good to go. It's flexible but durable, so I can store it easily when needed. This litter box is great. It keeps itself clean after every use, and the odor control actually works! Much better than the traditional ones. My two cats adapted quickly to the open design. The smart features are surprisingly useful and I get alerts on my phone and can track which cat used it. I do have auto feeder and water fountains for my cats and the last thing I’m worried about when I go on vacation is the litter box. Now with this automatic litter box I can be more comfortable when I’m not home for a few days! ... show more

I've been wanting to upgrade to an automatic cleaning litter box for a long time. I was happy to see this one was within my budget. First, I love the design. It's attractive and doesn't take up more space than the original litter box, which was a jumbo top loading square box with pullout litter tray. Pros of the Luma are its great packaging for shipping, easy setup, quick connection to the app, and useful accessories. I love that it came with a little step because it's quite tall, but my cats are used to jumping on top of their old litter box so I haven't seen them use the step yet. The motion of the box when cleaning is smooth and low noise. The fan has two modes high which is loud and low which is much quieter (barely noticeable). From the app I can control frequency of cleaning from atomic to specific times or manually, how long the odor removing fan stays on, turn indicators lights on/off, and many more features. The AI can be trained to identify which cat (if multi cat household) is using the box and with the membership plan it will store videos of the cats interactions, analyze their weight and poop cycles. There is an area to add activity, water and eating schedule, as well. Cons are without the plan you get snapshots of the cat in the box and nothing else. From those photos you can teach the AI how to identify each pet. Other analytics are not available without the membership. My Luma has been getting stuck mid-cleaning cycle and sits in a holding pattern with the canister pointed backwards. It's been doing this since I set it up. I've followed all the guidance: 4" space all around, sits on hard surface, no objects are near the entrance and the cats are not actively using it, yet it keeps "pausing" because the weight sensors detect a pet nearby. It's like it times-out and just shuts off mid cycle. I sent a message to Customer Support and am currently waiting for a response. This hasn't caused me to like the device any less. When I notice it's stuck, I just wave my hand in front of a sensor and it resumes the cleaning cycle. Considering I don't have to completely clean a litter box multiple times a week I feel that is a minor inconvenience, and may be unique to my box. Other cons are the repplacment filter is quite expensive, currently priced at $19 each lasting 90 days. While other carbon filters are roughly half that price. The same goes for the replacement bags that collect the used litter. The membership is also expensive for information I find unnecessary. I didn't need any of that before with my "analog" litter box so I can't justify the price. Overall I do recommend. Keep size and space in mind for small homes, as it is quite large and somewhat heavy. The second is a picture when the inner chamber is stuck mid cycle. ... show more

We had purchased the Petlibro to replace a different brand in March 2025 that quit working after just a few months. We loved our Petlibro automatic feeder, so thought we would give the automatic litter box a try. We are obsessed. It works quietly and we never have a smell from the litter box. The waste container is larger enough to go way over a week without having to change it. When it is time to empty it, it is so simple, just remove the disposable bag, tie it up and dispose of it.     • Very sub par experience for the price

Unfortunately I’m writing this review as a negative experience. Having to return mine because it’s stuck in jammed mode no matter what I do. The only way it works is with little to no litter in it. Once I fill it even to minimum it will jam in its clean cycle. Other the the physical problems I wanted to mention the scam of a subscription that petlibro has. If you want to have more than one pet on the app 139 a year. Then on top of that 139 if you want video recording and ai function, at least another 139. So for a fully functional experience we’re talking another 300 on top of the 600 you already paid. The ai isn’t even worth it, it never got the waste correct. Literally every single time it would say poop when the cat peed or vise versa… just a very poor experience for such an expensive subscription.
