I have bought many many cans to supplement mother's milk. Works great for all 5 pups. A trick in making the milk. Add 1/3 portion of water at the beginning to make a paste. Use the back of the spoon to mesh the crumbs first. Then stir in the rest of the water slowly to make the milk. I would also like to thank the seller "LiveStock" for their great support taking immediate corrective action to send me the item after USPS messed up the shipment. Thanks!

This Puppy Milk Replacer by Esbilac is FANTASTIC, I will continue to use as a supplement as recommeded. This stuff is really packed good with nutrients, but my only complaint is their is NO Fiber. The only formula that seems to have a little fiber in it is the 2nd stage(think oatmeal) by Esbilac, but it isnt a very high at 5-7%. I let the Puppies feed from the Mother for 2 Days(to builld up natural immunities) before starting this Formula, which they absolutely loved and needed no extra encouragement to consume. The Puppies started to have issues from lack of fiber, so we added Diggin brand(FIRM UP!- Pumpkin + Cranberry Super Supplement) and that was Perfect to assist. I also use this formula as a general aid when a G.I. problem arises, I mix 1 1/2 Cups Yoghurt/Pudding in a bowl with 1-2 scoops Esbilac Formula, 1-2 tablespoons FIRM UP! SUPER SUPPLEMENT, Pulverized Coconut Macaroons, and 1-2 teaspoons Vanilla extract for extra taste! I know they're very pampered lol, but I dont have kids to spoil... This flavoured Custard is extremely effective at fixing most issues within 6-12 hours easy on a feeding schedule of every 2 hours. The ingredients are as follows... Vegetable Oil(Preserved with Mixed Tocopherol's), Casein, Dried Whey Protein Concentrate, Cream, Dried Skim Milk, Dicalium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, DL-Methionine, L-Arginine, Dextrose, Maltodextrin's, Lecithin, Choline Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, Iron Proteinate, Taurine, Riboflavin Supplement, Vitamin A Supplement, Dried Lactobacillus Casei Fermentation Product, Dried L. Fermentum Fermentation Product, Dried L. Acidophilus Fermentation Product, Dried L. We rescued nine new born puppies found abandoned under a vacant house. Far from being able eat on their own we went to a local vet for advise on how to deal with these wonderful nine babies. The vet tech recommended Esbilac which had to be mixed in water and administered every four hours by baby bottles with split nipples. Needing to feed the babies immediately we went to a local pet store and bought all they had which was very expensive. The puppies loved it and as we understand it this is a synthetic replacement for mothers milk. Esbilac is easy to use and mixes well in warm water and as I mentioned the puppies loved it. As always, I checked Amazon to determine availability and cost. I was amazed! Amazon had the exact same product for half the cost as PETSMART and PETCO. Since I am a Amazon Prime member there was no shipping costs and I had all the Esbilac we would need in just two days. Of course we returned the unused powder we purchased from the local pet stores. At the direction of the local vet, when the puppies started developing teeth we allowed puppy chow to soften in the Esbilac before being offered it to the growing puppies. They gobbled it down. As they got a little older we cut back on the Esbilac mixture until the babies were old enough to eat straight puppy chow. Esbilac greatly enhanced the transition of these puppies from being bottle fed to eating totally on their own. Without Esbilac these puppies would not have survived. Amazon's quick delivery and deep discounts made the rescue of these puppies economically a lot easier. The good news is, Esbilac and Amazon allowed these puppies grow to be healthy and happy and good homes were found for all nine.
