I started using these Glandex chews when my dog was constantly scooting and had that telltale fishy smell. I gave them the full 3–5 weeks they recommend, and I’m happy to say things improved noticeably. The stools firmed up, and I haven’t seen him scoot in a while. The flavor (duck & bacon) seems to be a hit — he eats them like treats, which makes giving them easy. I also like that the formula includes probiotics and fiber, so it feels like it’s supporting more than just the anal gland function. For a product of this type, the price is fair (especially on subscription or sale), and the quality feels legit — no weird aftertaste or filler ingredients I can tell. If you’ve got a dog struggling with gland issues, this is one of the better supplements I’ve found.

I believed my two small dogs were not getting enough fiber, because they both had problems with their anal glands. I tried this product and it has resolved both of their anal glands problems. I started giving them a quarter of the dose, based upon their weight (6 lbs and 12 lbs), and it worked perfectly. Because a quarter dose worked so well, I haven't and won't increase the dose. This product is great, and they eat it voluntarily as a 'treat.' I wholeheartedly recommend this product!

My dog (2 years old) had anal gland issues when she was still a pup; she would act scared, scoot her butt on the floor, constantly look back at her booty, and overall be very anxious and distressed. The vet recommended these, and now she takes one a day and has never had an issue since! Yay! They must be tasty, because she sure does wiggle said butt when I pull the bag out! In May I was at the dentist, which happens to be right by a dog groomer. We started talking about dogs, and I ended up showing my dental hygienist this product when she mentioned her small dog having anal gland issues. She was spending a fortune taking her to the vet once a week to have her glands expressed, and I was like girlllll buy these. I ended up doing a subscription on Amazon for these and it works well (plus saves me some money monthly). I had never done one before these, and I would super recommend setting it up if you think you will need these for the long haul.

My 5 lb chihuahua was having an anal gland issue, was scooting his booty on the floor, licking and nipping at it, and it had swollen a little and bled. This is a common issue with smaller dogs, but I wanted to get ahead of it before it became infected and required a vet visit. After manually excreting his glands (yuck!), I started him on these soft chews and it seemed to fix him up. The “bump” went away, he stopped scooting and was having more solid bowel movements. Be sure to read directions because small dogs only need 1/2 a chew.

My 12 lbs YorkiePoo has food allergies and exhibits behavioral issues, including biting the rear of his lower back, where it has become bald, shaking his head from side to side, chasing his tail, scooting his butt across the floors/grass, and licking his paws.
