This is my third kit. I have used this twice before for my two female dogs both who have since passed away now. I ordered another one for my new dog and sent it in right away, and was so shocked that it only took a couple of weeks and they got back to me with the results! I was correct on three things: that he was a larger percent of ACD then the girls were; said he had other herding breeds in him; that he had some pitbull in him; and that he had a breed that was very small because he was small for his type. Sure enough he was 86%. ACD , 4% pitbull and had three other herding breeds. And he was one percent Chihuahua! L O L. The report was so interesting and done so very well, and had listed family members that were in their records, one of which was his sister, also in this state. It was very comprehensive and interesting and well put together, and I highly highly recommend as it has served me well three times now and has not failed me yet. I would think that the reviews on this would very easily equal at least a 4.8 or 4.9 as it certainly is five stars in my opinion. ... show more

I ordered the test the day we were told my old rescue girl was terminal. It came in quickly, and I was able to swab her morning. We had to bring her in to be put down. I sent a test in, and I waited, and waited. After six weeks, I logged into my wisdom account and found the results. It’s quite possible that there was an error in communication, because I expected to receive an email when the test results for it. I did not receive an email that I can find. I did get a lot of emails from them, however asking me to purchase more items/packages. I don’t know when the results came in, but I was very happy with that portion of the purchase. We were very curious about what different breeds this little puppy had in her, received the results back in about 12 days, mostly she was toy or miniature poodle-29 percent, Bernese Mountain dog 26 percent, was the one I was surprised with but after looking at one of those puppy's online it made perfect sense.. the rest was made up of Pit Bull, Beagle, Chow-chow etc. I would highly recommend this kit for anyone who wants to know the DNA makeup of their dog. ... show more

With my first dog, they seemed pretty spot on, my vet was amazed. We could see almost every breed trait they claimed was in her DNA. I just had my newest addition tested. His mom was found on the side of a country road about three days before she delivered six puppies. I claimed Tate from that litter very early on. His mom is about 25 pounds and looks like some kind of Corgi, Jack Russell, or Dachshund mix of course no idea about dad. Tate's DNA came back with only 8% Parson terrier, no Jack Russell and a lot of shepherds, boxer, pit, GSD, Golden Retriever, etc. I've posted photos of a Cattle Jack (Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell) and a photo of my puppy at about the same ages. Glean what you will. My vet has called total bs on this round of testing and she (nor I) will continue to recommend this company as reliable. ... show more

So I got this test because I received a 6 month old (at the time) puppy for mothers day this year from a family friend. They couldn't tell my husband and I anything about her other than the people they got her from got rid of her because she wasn't the right color for breeding. By looking at her she looked like an American Staffordshire pit mix. Just got the results back after 2 weeks. She is an American Pitbull terrier/ Staffordshire mix. She's the sweetest baby ever and is very attentive wo my autistic toddler. I would definitely recommend. ... show more

the test arrived quickly, took a week after I mailed it to get received. Two weeks later and we have our results. Our Chihuahua/Dachshund mix is not the Chiweenie we guessed. She is a Chi/Yorkie. We love her all the same and it explains some very spunky behavior. The Wisdom Panel website was easy to use and they updated the steps so that was exciting. They located a few relatives nearby that share 3% of her ancestry. We wanted this info for curiosity and to help us train her. Thanks. ... show more

***Updated: Despite our initial frustration with the many ads they kept sending us, our results finally arrived around the 3wk mark. We were super excited for the big reveal - and believe the results are accurate. We bought what we were told was a white miniature schnauzer. She has since grown and changed so much, it was evident she was a "mutt" lol. Her results showed she had 42% mini schnauzer. This is without any images for them to go on. So I believe the accuracy :) Original review: So we are still waiting for our results. I receive an email everyday from Wisdom Panel and get excited thinking our results are in. Unfortunately, it's just ad after ad, trying to upsell other products. I'm getting impatient and annoyed at this point. If we get our results soon I will update my review at that time. ... show more

We knew he had french bull dog and pitbull now I'm pretty confident we know the rest. I did end up upgrading to the premium for the extra $40 and I think it was 100% worth it to just go with the premium especially if you have a puppy! O If correct, it let us know approximately what his weight will be and we questioned if his ears would stand or not, the trait test shows he has both copys of floppy ears so that answered that as well as much more you learn!!! Also the health tests are nice to know ... show more
