    • Works well for both of my dogs
I have two 3-year old littermates that we got just as Covid hit. They did not get socialized like I would have liked and have a fear of strangers, the female has storm and loud noise phobias. I bought these at the suggestion of my vet, who also recommended trazadone to have on hand , just in case. These chewies work wonders for both, I have only needed the trazadone during heavy lightning storms, and the chewies calm her during wind/rain storms. The male has shown stranger aggression, but when we are having someone over and I have given him these earlier in the day, he is stiff and cautious at first, but then just accepts the company as non-threatening. Bought the chicken flavor and they both liked it - trying the peanut butter next. ... show more

    • Not as effective as hoped
My dog has mild CCD and I hoped these.supplements would calm her morning anxiety. I.cant tell that they make.any difference. Maybe some? Been over a week. She takes daily. Maybe need to build???

    • Helps my dogs to relax.
This definitely takes the edge off of thunderstorms. The vet prescribed a medication that stopped them from eating and cause them to be very constipated. I had to use mineral oil mixed in with a little canned cat food. I read where you can't administer mineral oil through their mouth as they could aspirate because of its thickness. With Composure Pro they still eat and they get a bit constipated but it's easily treated right away with much less mineral oil. And they're ready for a walk and get excited if we're going somewhere. Not hiding under a chair like with the actual medication from the vet. I tried the plain Composure but it didn't help so I had to try the Pro kind. You used to only be able to get it through a vet but now you can buy it on Amazon for less than half of what the vets used to sell it for. I like it it helps my dogs without being over the top and the ingredients all seem very natural. I highly recommend it. ... show more

I have used Composure Pro for years for my dogs that have stress issues due to Thunder, Fireworks or any other stressful situation. I have studied this problem to try and help my dogs and the ingredients in this supplement make sense based on what I have learned. I would double the dose (safe to do as per package) a few hours before, if I knew an event was coming. I would build a den in my car or you could put a crate in it if your dog is trained to that and feels it's their safe place. Then have my car in the garage to double insulate against outside noises. Then I would put on some loud calming type music to drown sounds. I would go check on my dog and she would be calm and asleep in her special place. Prior to this being my method I had tried drugs that the Vet recommended and prescribed, but I didn't like the effects of them or knocking her out with drugs that didn't do anything for the anxiety, where she is still scared but just can't move to do anything about it. I am using it right now for my 7 mos old Golden Retriever that is going through her first heat and getting stressed out about it. It is helping her and myself get through this difficult event of life prior to getting her spayed. ... show more
