Multi Cat, Large Cat, Household - Best Choice!

Do yourself a favor and buy this now. I spent a lot of time researching the automatic boxes. I wanted one that I could use any type (brand) of (clumping) litter with, was budget friendly, did not require extra monthly parts (trays, filters). I thought I’d end up buying something over Black Friday that was “better” but after I tried a high end on v this one I kept the Petzone smart scoop. I have 3 cats, one that is huge and I do still have a second box but they rarely use it. Since I have 3 cats I do change the bag day to day and a half - I’ve never let it get full so I could probably go two days easily. I use store band litter and once I’ve had to clean the rake bc of squishy BM stuck but it was only a tiny amount. No smell issues, easy assemble, easy clean to no clean, great for multiple cat households and large cats. It’s the same size as a normal litter box I use a 26x18 mat for the cats to step on when getting out. It’s not fancy but it’s safe - sensor knows if cat jumps in or is in it, works great - I only wish I bought it sooner. Note be mindful you won’t put a ton of litter in it if you notice the motor sounds like it’s really working to move through litter you have too much.

Turns out it is junk

Has the title of my review States this box is okay. I recently went through some surgery and it was impossible for me to clean the Box totally so this box does do what it was supposed to do and that is assist me in cleaning. It gets most of the solids although with clumping litter it breaks up the clumps and the debris is left in the litter. The bags they send with it they're almost useless as most of the other reviews state. As far as the Box only assisting if the scooping cage was designed a little bit better to go closer to the bottom of the box it would improve efficiency greatly. Overall I would recommend this box with the caveat of how I know it works. UPDATE 5/12 THIS BOX AFTER A LITTLE OVER A MONTH turns out is garbage. I have a relatively small cat and and yet the sides are not tall enough to catch pee. Secondly now the scooper slide on the NON motor side is getting somehow either stuck or the roller is broken and the unit goes into fault mode. I guess you get what you pay for. I was convinced. By the reviews that said it worked YEAH FOR A FEW WEEKS Tonight it gets dumped

Use as little litter in the box as your cat and you are comfortable with

Design Fault - it has only one motor that pulls from one side of the litter box making it quite weak and at times even bending the litter box under heavy load. It can only handle a small amount of litter in the box, much less than the lines marking the pan or it gets stuck and doesn't clean anything. It has a nasty habit of pushing litter and sometimes clumps outside of the pan and onto the floor. You think your cats track bad? This will make them look clean. Now why rate it 4 stars then? Simply put its the only automatic litter pan that one of my cats will use, and the other cat that was using the other automatic litter box took a liking to this one as well. The cats Love IT. It really only has 2 faults,: 1) the motor needs another set of gears on the other side of the box to make it stronger and not bend the pan. 2) it needs a better guard to prevent litter and clumps from being pushed out of the pan and onto the floor. ADVICE: Use as little litter in the box as your cat and you are comfortable with.

I've only had the box for about a week but I do have 8 cats and regular litter boxes set up still. They seem to prefer using this box though. I didn't want a covered box and I didn't want to pay $300+ on a litter robot so I wanted to give this one a try. You definitely can't over fill it, that will cause problems. You have to top off the litter occasionally. I've emptied it twice in the last week and with 8 cats that's pretty great. The trash bags are a little too big for the catcher so that's a little annoying but I can also probably use any time of small bag I want to like grocery bags. I'm using the hard ball clumping litter which I really like. The litter doesn't leave a bunch of small pieces behind. So I think the type of litter you use really matters. So far so good. I'm sure eventually the motor will stop working but who knows how long that'll be.

It's alright...

This self cleaning cat box not as clean as I thought it would be, but I guess being only $140 I should have known. Putting it together was super easy, no complaints there. My cats accepted it within an hour, although they are still getting used to the motor sound. It doesn't do its job very well though. I constantly have to scoop and scrape the box because it doesn't pick up urine at the bottom, which defeats the entire purpose of getting it. Also, after a few passes, you'll notice it stops smoothing the litter down and instead is just piling it up at the front onto the little barrier thing. It also doesn't accommodate wall poopers who put it right on the edge and it just ends up throwing it on the ground outside the box. I'm going to keep it because it does save me anxiety while I'm at work that it's at least SOMEWHAT clean, but my next smart litter box won't be this.

Broke down before a year

I purchased this as a trial to see if my 5 large cats would use it and if it would work before replacing all my litter boxes with one of these. I'm glade I only bought one. I bought it back in Jun 2025 it didn't even last a whole year (it's only jun 20 2026 now) and when I first got it it worked well enough. But when the return policy expired it kept jamming and having to be reset. Figwres I just needed to get better at maintaining it, but then The clumps of pee would get broken up and drop through the scooping rack falling back into the box. Or everything would get stuck to the rack and have to be knocked off into the back disposal area. It dropped pee and pop outside the litter box as it was scooping it up. It started turning itself off. The movement sensor stopped working and even with having cleaned the area as followed on instructions multiple times and resetting it the only way I can get it to work it to turn it on and off each time I want it to move. I have 5 large cats and the size and open concept is what I need but in the end this product made me do more work to try and maintain and maintenance this to the point I've taken the electric moter and other things off and am now using it as a regular litter box and back to scooping it by hand again. The value of this item was not worth the hassle it put me through. It's also really loud.

Do not recommend

We owned this litter box for 5 months and tried vigilantly to keep it clean and clean the parts. This box did not work out. Every time we cleaned it (3-4 times a day ) there was urine and fecal matter in the box (there was some in the container) which created an odor. The claw to scoop up said matter was always dirty and constantly cleaning it became a job. We have 2 cats and they have 2 boxes, ones a regular box and off course this electronic one. Once I got rid of it.. I invested in an automatic Catlink box that is amazing I noticed NO more fecal or urine odor , even with my regular box. This was a great disappointment and not worth it. I should have listened to the woman who runs the rescue when she stated automatic boxes like that (with no top) NO good! She wouldn’t take it. Save your money… not worth it .

Hello, I know this doesn't have the greatest reviews but, I bought mine in May of 2023 and still going just fine. Im not saying it's perfect. Its a little loud when cycling. For under $200 it's blows the competition out of the water, period. Who who wants to pay $500 to $800 for a crap box?
