Takes a few days testing litter types, and levels to get the optimal config, but once you get it dialed in, it works great. The auto sensor has never worked as far as I can tell (would be nice), but I don't mind hitting the button once or twice a day. super easy to empty\clean. It does push some small items to the front, I tried to calibrate the scoop to move forward the extra 1\4 inch needed, but the motor housing seems to have a 1\2 inch groove for the lock, so it JUST misses a few things. We owned this litter box for 5 months and tried vigilantly to keep it clean and clean the parts. This box did not work out. Every time we cleaned it (3-4 times a day ) there was urine and fecal matter in the box (there was some in the container) which created an odor. The claw to scoop up said matter was always dirty and constantly cleaning it became a job. We have 2 cats and they have 2 boxes, ones a regular box and off course this electronic one. Once I got rid of it.. I invested in an automatic Catlink box that is amazing I noticed NO more fecal or urine odor , even with my regular box. This was a great disappointment and not worth it. I should have listened to the woman who runs the rescue when she stated automatic boxes like that (with no top) NO good! She wouldn’t take it. Save your money… not worth it . ... show more

The reviews were so mixed that I was Leary of this product when in fact this litterbox does everything it is supposed to. I have three cats and I am very impressed with my purchase.     • Noisy, clunky, hard to clean
With the correct QUANTITY of clumping litter (experimented with 6-8 kinds), the machine works well, but has a "pause" with a large clunking/grating sound 2/3's of the way to lift & dump the rake mechanism. Have not found source of this sound, but will investigate further 🤔 Some feces always gets stuck on the inner structured lid of the plastic holding container, sometimes covering the "charcoal filter". If, despite your best intentions to empty said holding container, it spills out & over the edge as you attempt to lift awkwardly-designed, flimsy lip/handle, if some falls into the lower compartment that is solid, not able to be removed - it is nearly impossible to get all of the litter out without a wet/dry vacuum. This cat box is just about worthless. I promise this box dosent scoop properly. I have had it for 5 months, and now the rake will not work properly. It keeps getting stuck while in process of raising. Also it only holds 2 days of cat pieces. Amazon would not help with any form of compensation. Very disappointed to spend so much. This is the least expensive automatic litter box that works. The assembly instructions aren't that great but if you watch the video, it makes sense. It is easy to clean with the bags. Last one I had used plastic boxes that were a pain to remove when full. This one is easy!

    • DO NOT USE CLAY LITTER
Update: Changed stars from 1 to 4. Using Clay Litter was killing the motor, its to heavy. I am now trying different litters. Hoping to find one that's light, doesn't track, doesn't stick to the bottom & I don't have to scoop. Purchased July 6th. It's now the end of October; so almost 4 months & the Motor is noisy like it's struggling to move. Didn't like the bags that came with it so after they wete gone we purchased a different type but works good. I like the convince of most of it being scooped... but I still have to scrape the bottom to clean it out because it seems to only pick up the poop. You Can Not put very much litter in the litter box or it will not work. Maybe 6-8 cups of litter at most. There is no cover so my cats kick litter out of it. I have a Matt under it which gets full of litter so needs cleaned every time. I also have to vacuum around it often. Sometimes the litterbox will manage to drop a piece of poop outside the litterbox. My husband likes it; but he's Never the one cleaning it. Honestly, I will NOT purchase another one. When this goes out (soon, sounds like a dying motor) I will purchase a standard litterbox with a cover. Because I still have to clean it out & also clean around it, I feel like it's the same amount of work for me as my old standard litterbox. ... show more
