Our Ash Vault Pro Vacuum is built especially for fireplaces, grills, fire pits, and construction areas. The most important difference is our custom filter, which is constructed to trap the smallest of particles, so you’re not just blowing dust and ash right back into your home or space. The hose on our fire retardant vacuum is custom built to handle warm ash of up to 140°F. The outside of the hose is lined with plastic, which allows for flexibility so you can enjoy a full range of motion on your vacuum while keeping the unit stable. We’ve constructed our Ash Vault Pro Vacuum to be thermally protected. This means that when something too large for the vacuum gets sucked up, the vacuum shuts itself down to avoid thermal override, and subsequent damage to the motor The Aluminum Tube is great for larger chunks of ash or clinkers. The Pellethead Ash Vac works very well. It has strong suction, is lightweight, rolls around easily, and is well filtered. It keeps the ash dust and smell very well contained in its stainless steel drum. It is small enough to store inside the closet next to my upright where it is within handy reach for cleaning out our pellet insert. The metal lined hose is long as well as the electrical cord for the size of this machine. The tools all store on the wheel frame for convenience. Interestingly, the first two times of use it turned itself off automatically after running for about 3 minutes. I've used it maybe five times since and each time it ran continuously until I shut it off so maybe those were just first time use quirks. It comes with a five year limited warranty. So far I think this is worth the money especially if it lasts at least five years. ... show more

We have had our Pellet stove and this Vacuum for about 2 years. We clean the Pellet stove every bag or 2 of usage. We go through about 45 bags/year so, this vacuum has been used about 60-75 times. It works fine. It does not appear to leave dust in the house and the suction is good. I clean the filters every time I empty it, maybe 3-4 times a year. As the filters clog you can feel the loss of suction. Seems like it does everything it is supposed to do! ... show more

I bought this earlier this summer, and I finally just got the chance to use it for the first time today on my Pellet Stove. For the first 5 minutes, it worked great. Sucking power was great. However, 5 minutes after using it it stopped sucking much. I was confused, there is no way it could already be full. So I emptied it, and yeah, it wasn't full at all. But both the outer and inner filter were always chock full. I don't know it could have already had the inner filter covered. I cleaned both. Put back together and it sucked "ok", still not as good as when I first starting using. By the time I was done cleaning my stove, it already was not sucking well again. Almost not picking anything up. Also the top of the unit was VERY hot. This is designed for ash, but can't even last 1 cleaning. For the record, the Pellet stove had been off for almost 12 hours, so the stove and ash was cold. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VACUUM TO ANYONE. Unfortunately, since I bought it in the summer before I needed to clean my stove, it is outside the return window, but I would definitely return it if I had the option. Not sure about this vacuum. So far no issues, but I have doubts the motor will hold up. It get very hot to the touch after just seconds of sweeping cold ash even when the filter is freshly cleaned. Does a good job keeping the dust in. Suction is good, nothing to write home about, but adequate. Attachments are functional and the overall quality seems good. The heat of the motor is my main concern. The manufacturers sticker is even peeling off from the heat...we will see how long it lasts. Hopefully I’m wrong. Update 4/21/20: We have gotten through the winter with weekly stove cleanings and the vacuum is still working. Motor still gets hot but it has functioned without issue. I've only used a few times but so far so good. It's got a long cord and a robust hose. The attachments are ok. It would be nice if the narrow one was metal instead of plastic and the bristles of the brush could be stiffer but those are just my preferences, what it comes with are certainly sufficient. The filters seem to work well. It has good suction. The motor definitely runs hot so I don't think I'd want to run it for any extended period but since it's just to pick up ash it probably would never run that long anyway. It's fairly light and easy to move around and dump. I haven't found any reason the Pellet Head ash vacuum isn't a perfectly reasonable purchase. ... show more

This is the third vacuum we've purchased and this one works quite well! It is similar to the others that we purchased but it seems to have more power and the fire proof liner is just better all around. I can usually clean my pellet stove completely twice before I need to blow out the fire proof liner. The canister filter after a full season burning 3.5Tons of hard wood pellets is still clean and white. Cord length is sufficient and attachments are task oriented. I don't believe there is a better stove vac for the money. ... show more

None can be better than this. Light weight and easy to use. I use it on the pellet stove in our house and our pellet smoker in the yard. Super good filters only blows out very clean air. Good suction and good tools to get into the dirty areas. I bought this last April and opened it to empty the collected ashes today for the first time. So easy to clean it out. The motor filter still looked brand new. I used my air compressor to help clean the HEAPA filter. This is worth every penny and I highly recommend it. ... show more
