  • Sturdy and Spacious Chicken Run
I recently purchased the PawHut Large Metal Chicken Coop for my Bantam flock, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. This coop is an exceptional product that checks all the boxes for a poultry owner like me. It is well made, sturdy, constructed from excellent materials, easy to assemble, and incredibly secure in place. **Build Quality and Materials (5/5):** The build quality of this chicken coop is truly remarkable. The metal frame is robust and durable, ensuring that it can withstand the test of time and the elements. The mesh wire is of excellent quality, providing proper ventilation while keeping predators at bay. The materials used are clearly designed to last, giving me peace of mind that my chickens are safe and sound. **Assembly (5/5):** As someone who doesn't consider themselves particularly handy, I was pleasantly surprised by how straightforward the assembly process was. The included instructions were clear and easy to follow, and I was able to set up the coop in just a few hours with minimal help. PawHut has certainly made it easy for even beginners to put this coop together. **Spaciousness (5/5):** My chickens have plenty of room to move around in this coop. It's spacious and designed to provide ample space for my feathered friends, promoting their comfort and well-being. It's also easy for me to access the interior for cleaning and collecting eggs, making the daily chores much more manageable. I'm considering purchasing another one for the spring for all my new chics. **Security (5/5):** When it comes to the safety of my chickens, this coop shines. The door locks securely, and the mesh wire is strong enough to deter any potential threats. I no longer have to worry about raccoons, foxes, or persistent Hawks harming my flock. The added peace of mind this coop provides is truly invaluable. ... show more

  • Great value for the money!
Pattern Name: Dome Roof Size: 259.8"L x 74.8"W x 76.8"H
Initially put 3 stars, but putting 5 stars after big windstorm blew a pallet over onto the side of it and nothing bent, tore or broke. Stronger than it looks!

  • Nice pen but be prepared to put in some work installing it
This is well made and a nice pen, but it is quite a bit of work to put together and the instructions are ok but can be a little misleading. The chain link fence comes in one large roll so you have to cut all of the individual pieces. Make sure you have gloves and a sharp pair of wire cutters. Also have some extra black zip ties , they work well for binding the roof fencing and are less noticeable. I would also recommend having some extra clear zip ties as well. All in all I am happy with the end result, I just wasn’t expecting the amount of work it entailed. ... show more

  • Man, this is alright
Pattern Name: Polygon Roof Size: 204.8"L x 189.0"W x 108.3"H
The poles are aluminum and designed well. Very sturdy. The chicken wire is metal and coated in plastic, which is a plus. Some other ones we looked at had nylon chicken wire. The shade top is nice. It reflects heat and keeps it a lot cooler inside. Good value also. Highly recommend

  • Didn't survive even half the winter.
Pattern Name: Spire Roof Size: 275.5"L x 78.8"W x 76.8"H
If you're in a place that gets below freezing, don't bother spending your money on this. If you're in warmer climates, maybe it would work better.

  • Sturdy
Pattern Name: Dome Roof Size: 18.7' x 9.2' x 6.4'
Omg I love this enclosure. It’s sturdy for the price. I mean 150 bucks is good price point. I have 4 hens and 16 babies. We’ve lost most of our last flock to hawks so I’m not taking any chances this time. I might purchase another one and add it on our existing one for more room. 🥰

  • Cheap!
Pattern Name: Dome Roof Size: 18.7' x 9.2' x 6.4'
Very thin metal. First high wind the thing bent, twisted and the joints literally broke.

  • Temporary Solution
Pattern Name: Dome Roof Size: 299.3"L x 110.3"W x 76.8"H
The PawHut 58x9.2x6.4 dome and flat roof fencing run will help keep your chickens in... and most other critters out. My experience with this fencing since May has not been great but does continue to serve. First, I purchased the longest run with the bonus of two doors (with the thought of needing to possibly separate chickens or something in the future), and with the idea we could move it from time to time. However, I made the mistake of adding a tarp over the middle flat portion of the run, which collected rain and collapsed it. I never liked having to bend over to walk under the 4' flat portion; it was the cheaper option with the longest run. After it collapsed, I purchased a smaller dome top to replace the middle. It didn't take long to remove the bent pieces to add in the dome of the new run. I now have extra pieces if needed; not ideal. I purchased in May, and in January I experienced the first small bit of snow and ice. I replaced the solid cover with shade covers hoping it would help with the weight... no, it collected snow but just a little slower. HAVING ANY COVERS ON DURING HEAVY SNOW WILL COLLAPSE THE FENCINNG. I went to remove the snow here and there to prevent the flimsy fencing from losing to the weight. About the fencing, there are holes that squirrels have chewed through the size of baseballs, and small birds make their way in to feast on the chicken food through the holes of the actual fence. The fencing is stretchy and has lost most of its tight pull on the top of the run. The sides appear in tight, but with a couple of holes. The cover you receive with the fence and frame, does not withstand direct sun light. I have my run in direct sunlight all day and the cover has been ripping since the fall, but especially after the clearing the snow. Overall, it feels temporary for the money that you spend on it. It was great the first few months and is still okay, but I'm not 100% happy with the flimsy fence and fairly fragile framing or covering that hasn't lasted 7 months. It is a quick solution, but I second guessing just taking the time and money to actually build a nicer run. ... show more
