I bought it to use as a catio for my cats and foster kittens. Kittens loved it and two of my adult cats as well. Another one was able to escape by climbing over it even though I put plexiglass on the roof of it (I had to keep door open for them to be able to get in and out). So, I guess it depends on a cat. It might not work for an adventurous one but cud be a decent option for kittens or senior cats.

I read several reviews about predators getting into the cage and attacking or killing small animals. I have this in my shop with small chickens. They will be in it till they get big enough to go into our larger pen outside with the other chickens. This is a very good indoor cage and I would never use it outside. It is far too easy to get into and not very secure. I am giving it a high rating as it is great for my expected use.

The media could not be loaded. Overall, the pawhut cage is perfect for my M.Coon kitty. I added mats and a rug. Where I live, I can't let her run. I didn't want it in the grass because of ticks and sand fleas.

Could not put this together by myself. Had to have help. This had the absolute WORST assembly instructions I've ever seen. Just pictures and numbers! Some pieces were already connected and very very difficult to maneuver to put together to connect with the other pieces. Materials very cheap quality. Necessary assembly rods very thin and flimsy Had to use caution hammering into ground as they easily bent. This is an outdoor enclosure. Has rained a few times on it and it is already rusting in several areas. Difficult to move from one place to another especially because of the quality of the securing rods. Had to use other means to make sure it was secure and would stay in place. Several of the doors are not aligned and it is difficult to open and close them. It's what I have for now and it is necessary to have but the difficulty in assembling and the rusting after a little over a month of use is very disappointing.

There's really nothing to complain about here. The cage comes in four separate pieces that are easy to put together with two people, you need someone to hold it up at least in the beginning. The pieces look pretty comparable but follow the directions exactly. Even if you think you can use the A side in place of the B side, you can't. The stakes won't be able to pin it into place. I love that it has no ground so my cats can enjoy the grass and soil. I have no idea why I was expecting it to be taller, but I was. It's like a good decent one-person tent size. As pictured, I crawled completely into the cage with the cats and closed it. I could've slept in there, spread out even if it wasn't for the ballast beam in the center, which is a good design attribute. Although I will say here, my brother figured out the support beam. The directions are abysmal and offer no explanation but a far away ink blot of a picture. It has three doors, which is nice, one on the ceiling so you can drop your little friends in. I still don't know if I understand why it's $160, but you're getting real metal material and it's good value for what's on the market.
