spend many nights in my art studio right next to the living room, which has a door that can be closed to keep the heat in. But since I have two cats going in and out of the room all the time, a radiator does the trick. Good for me. Heat only one room. Instead of turning up the heat, heat any other rooms you won't be using as you'll be wasting energy.
