The tripod is sturdy, well built with a little weight to it. Love that. The heater is modern, very sleek and good looking. Comes with remote, has an app to download and use as another remote BUT only works with 2.5 wifi, not 5. So I just opt for the remote or the buttons on the actual heater as its more user friendly and mostly will use while camping. I love this heater, we've been using it outdoors without a problem, and it hearts the area very well. I am recently in need of replacing the remote due to damage, customer service was very helpful with quick replies and facilitating a replacement.

Started smoking the first time I turned it on! Sending it back. Also had missing parts. Missing the pin to hold the pole higher and the screw to mount the plates to the pole.

    • Take off the foam pieces from the front grill BEFORE turning on
This was a little complicated to put together as the instructions are, of course, minimal. Once assembled, I plugged it in and it started smoking immediately. As I was packing it up to return it, I noticed the very small print on the foam pieces on the front (that I thought were part of the unit) only to realize that these pieces needed to be removed BEFORE turning it on. The print was very small on these pieces and nowhere in the instructions was there a warning that they needed to be removed. If I hadn't turned the thing off so quickly, it would have gone up in flames. Read the VERY SMALL print carefully! Works well otherwise. ... show more
