  • Affordable price and good quality, made from China!
This printer is very affordable for the printing quality and functionalities that it offers. Thank you for the affordable product made from China. The only issue is the wireless setup is not very helpul from the printer document. I read some customer review to learn the trick of how to reconnect printer to wi-fi after I change my router-modem. I installed the patium app on my computer; connected the USB printer cable from pc to printer; ran the setup64 file; when it prompted different installation methods, I run the wired installation first , choice #1. It can print. I ran the same program again, using one click install option #3 while the USB cable is still connected; when it done with the installation, it prompted me to REMOVE THE USB CABLE and print a test page. I did so, the test page was wirelessly print successfully from this computer. I tried to print wirelessly from a different computer, and it also works! must keep the USB Cable connect while you install the wireless printing option was miss by many user causing problem. I would give 5 stars if it was not the unclear instruction. this is common in product made from China. The second problem I have is when this printer is running, my lights blink. Look like it draws a lot of power from my house electric current. it is annoying, but I have this problem with other laser printer in my house as well. ... show more

  • connect via USB
Pros: Bang for buck all-in-one laser. Nice small footprint. If you connect via USB cable (supplied) and you’re just interested in basic copying, auto-feed scanning, and printing not sure you can do much better considering price (under $200 as of this review). Offers duplex printing (but not duplex scanning). Cons: The product page helps you connect via Wi-Fi. Great. Except everybody that buys this printer has the same default Wi-Fi username and password, which means your neighbors or anybody driving around seeing this printer on the network knows the password. Yes it can be changed but it’s not intuitive and the supplied instructions make no mention to change it nor describe how to do so. I turned off the printers built-in Wi-Fi and connected through USB w/Win10 laptop. Other: With letter size paper, the paper tray sticks out the back of the unit. Did I mention the small footprint? Not really a con just weird. The appearance (mine was white) is sleek, modern, and attractive. Build quality seems adequate, neither flimsy or rugged. I could not get Apple air print to work. Had I been able to I probably would have just changed the printers passwords. I did not list this under cons because I’m old-school and do most of my work through an actual computer, YMMV. Also it could be operator error. ... show more

  • No Microsoft approved driver
I haven't used it much yet but I generally like the printer. I'm certain it'll be head and shoulders above the common inkjet out there for many reasons. It has a couple of downsides for installation. First, I couldn't get it installed via WiFi with my Android phone. No biggie, I just went to a laptop install. However, the disc didn't have a Microsoft "approved" - trusted in other words -driver. Neither did the website. No approved driver exists in the online store. The only option: leave S mode, and you can't go back. Also, sometimes it just doesn't want to leave sleep mode. I've had to turn it off and then power up a couple of times when copying a document. Of course, I was already standing in front of the machine - so not a big irritant. ... show more

  • Affordable, high quality printer that is FAST
Great affordable printer. It does require extra steps to set it up in Windows, since it won't recognize it just by plugging it in, but the setup is still very easy. Once set up, it does great. Faster print than our Xerox, HP and Brother printers in the office. Cost of ownership/price per page compared to the other brands is also cheaper. We have it set up on WiFi and it never loses connection, wakes up very quickly, first print speed is amazingly fast. The print is high quality. Scan quality is a little lower on default but can be changed. Like our other scanners, if you raise the quality then the speed is sacrificed and it does go slow. We didn't necessarily buy for the scanner functions though so we haven't fully tested everything there. We don't like that if you put Letter (8.5x11) paper in the tray it does pop out the back, but there's a little door that pops open - the printer is smaller front to back than the standard letter size paper. Another little feature we like is the toner level indicator right on the main screen. Only downside to Pantum that we've found is that you can't purchase their color printers in the US - otherwise we'd replace all of our printers eventually with Pantum. ... show more
