I’ve had water splash issues at my garage’s back door for years. Today I solved it with $160, 1 hour of install (single person needed), and basic tools. The hardest part is snapping the brackets down over the sheet of polycarbonate- if you don’t have some good squeeze clamps you probably should hire a handyman to come over. Construction is mainly cheap plastic with a couple aluminum pieces, but what did you expect for this cost? If I wanted higher quality I would have found a more expensive all metal/glass version.

Was hesitant to purchase due to it seeming a little pricey for what it is - but the design is better than some of the competition and made my particular installation very simple and quick. We had a severe thunderstorm only a couple of days later and the awning held up just fine. I still think it could be a little less expensive but I'm satisfied with it for my needs.

The description is incorrect: this awning is not 4' wide, it's only about 3 1/2 feet wide, and it juts out about 2 1/2 feet. I'm going to use this on another, smaller window, so I'm keeping it. But, it does not match the size of other 4'x3' Palram awnings that I have already installed on the house. It's disappointed, considering that this took over 6 weeks to arrive. But, at least I have a use for it.

Shop Ladder goes above and beyond to help their customers, the wrong color was sent and they immediately rectified the situation. The product is just what I needed. I like the fact that we could take them down, unlike other awnings. I can easily unscrew the suports to remove the actual cover. We live in a hurricane zone and had to find something that we could remove easily without completely disassembling them from the wall.

So disappointed in this item. In spite of Palram's snow load ratings and other good reviews, it's junk. The bracket snapped off before the guys could even install it. Better while on the ground than when bearing snow and dropping on someone's head.

Installed easily, looks great! Still hasn't snowed yet, so we will see if it performs with the weight of the snow. I believe it will given the construction I did have to calk a little with Silicone to make water tight due to the siding that was already there.
