This recycle container is slender with a large capacity. It can be used for multiple types of recycle needs like plastic, metal, glass or trash. I like that it came with a clear holder with recycle cards to slide in and stick it to the container. However, the sticky backing doesn't work on the polyester material. It keeps falling off so I used clear glue to make it stay on the material. It hasn't fallen off yet. The slot on top of the lid makes it quick and simple to toss recyclable items in or the lid can open up for larger items making both options very convenient. I thought assembling it would take about 10 minutes but it turned into 30 minutes. The instructions provided were not clear with step "B". The rods were simple to unfold but the instructions don't tell you the rods slide into four material slots on each corner located inside at the bottom of the container. I was looking for slots at the top near the rim! Once you locate the slots, each rod slides into them to create the frame and then they are rip locked at the top near the bamboo rim. The recycle container is lightweight. Its sturdy but it would be sturdier if it was plastic or metal. It has a basic look and standard black color. There is an inner bag that can be removed to hold the items in and I like that its washable. I lined mine with a trash bag to avoid it from getting too dirty or sticky.     • Such a stylish upgrade
We can't get recycling where we live, so my boyfriend takes his recyclables to his mom's. I was so insanely over a pile and/or overflowing trashbag(s) of plastic bottles etc. Got this as the solution and it looks so so much nicer that we honestly kinda need a nicer looking trashcan now 😅 spacious though, and was really easy to assemble, no hardware. The little plastic sleeve has three different signs you can put in it, and they're reversible. I believe the options are Plastic, Metal, Paper, Recylce, Trash, err well you get the idea. Even though it's 3M adhesive straps, the sign didn't stay on mine and is not sort of tentatively place on the flat top instead, and it's enough adhesive to keep it in place so long as it's not jostled. The additional bag that serves as a removable liner with handles is genius and washable. The whole thing is a sort of tight knit synthetic canvas that's coated in or made of a water resistant material. We got this to replace a smaller plastic bin that served us well but didn’t hold nearly enough stuff. This new one is great! Its very big and can hold about a week’s worth of recycling (in a household of 2 people) in the bag with no problems. It is easy to assemble, not too different from setting up a tent with the tension poles that hold it up. The outside is a heavy canvas fabric, then inside there is a removable bag that lines it and it is made of a more plastic, water-resistant material. This isn’t a piece that you’ll want to put anything on top of, it is made of softer materials and not meant to bear a lot of weight or stress or anything. Wow, this holds a lot more than I was expecting. It has a very large capacity - good thing everything that goes in is empty and lightweight. I like the bamboo frame at the top, it is just a nice touch on the soft cloth material and looks nice. The hole on top is really handy for bottles and cans. If you are putting in something larger or a box, you can lift the lid and toss it in. Easy and handy. Much better than an ugly garbage bag hanging somewhere or thrown on a floor.     • Material difficult to keep clean
I really like this recycle bin. It comes needing assembly which isn't too difficult once you get the hang of it. The directions aren't the greatest, but I found the assembly to be intuitive and easy to figure out. I love the look of this bin and it fits well in my kitchen without being an eyesore. It is also light and easy to move around. The main feature that I really love is the removable tote bag that I can easily take out and empty the recyclables into the recycling dumpster, where I live. This is very handy. My only concern is regarding the material that this entire thing is made of. It is a canvas type material, which may be difficult to keep clean. The inner bag is made of the same material, but with a plastic feel to it. I am wondering how it will hold up in the washing machine. I am questioning the choice to make this whole thing out of fabric. This costs nearly 40 dollars. My stainless steel trash can cost 50 dollars. That said, though this is nice, I don't think that this recycle bin is worth 40 dollars, especially given the fact that once it is messy, it is pretty much trash and will need to be replaced. I rinse my recyclables, thoroughly, but through time it will still get dirty. Not a good choice of material to construct a recycle bin with, in my opinion. ... show more
