I had to switch bedding because the Kaytee bedding was too dusty for my pet. This bedding isn't dust free, but he doesn't sneeze and cough as much. I suppose every pet reacts differently to bedding.

I wish This came in bigger bags. When you open the package and grab a few hand fulls to put in the cage when you pick at those couple handfuls it makes the little grab go a long way. It makes a nice soft layer on the floor of the crate coving wire if you have it. When I first bought this bedding and used it, the quality seemed satisfactory. However, my hamster got eye disease, and when I cleaned the house, I found that there was a lot of dust in the bedding. When I took the bedding out of the bag, my daughter who was next to me sneezed, and my wrist watch was covered in dust. Although it was very fine dust, it must have been a lot of dust for my dwarf hamster, and I suspect that it is the cause of the eye disease. ... show more
