Read instructions, collected tools, inventoried material and got to work. Where there was any confusion from instructions, a quick look at the parts helped clarify what needed to be done. Total time for unpack, set up and build was about 3 hours. Not really for the novice but easy enough for moderate DIY types. Materials looked good and finished awning looks great. Built in a low wind atrium type backyard area.

Seems to be decent, especially for the price. Instructions were reasonably clear, but a few clarifications would be helpful. The shade opens and closes easily. I don't think I will open it in winds above 15 mph, to avoid damage to the frame. I'd be interested in seeing if replacement fabric is available as the sun deteriorates the shade.

I don't know why directions are so over written now a days.. Seems like there is lots of overexplaining things makes it very difficult to understand.. Pictures could definitely be better and less "Over Explaining" Would have saved three things that needed to be taken apart and done differently. There could also be a section on adjustments. About 3 hours from open box to install. (yes you have to assemble the entire thing) Happy with the quality and looks!

Good value and well made. Easy to install. Well worded and complete installation instructions. We have bought and installed three of these awnings over the last three years. Comparing the first one installed three years ago to the last we put up in August 2023 it is clear that these awnings are little effected by the weather.

The media could not be loaded. Bought the 12 x 10 awning for our backyard patio. As other reviewers have said, the instruction manual is lame. We found some supplemental material on YouTube that was helpful. I would not recommend this awning unless you live somewhere with little to no wind. We get a constant gentle breeze in the summer. The awning is like a sail and reacts to even the slightest wind. If it starts to get windy you can forget about using your awning. The material flaps around like a sail and the arms bob up and down. We are afraid it will rip our siding off. We looked at purchasing the stabilizer arms which sell for almost $200 bucks each = $400 on top of the awning cost making this not a budget friendly shade option we were hoping for. If you keep the awning extended maybe 4-6' instead of the full 10' it can hold up better with some minor wind.

It is true, instructions are poor, however, with a little of patience installation is easy. It is a light unit, manufacturing is good quality and all peaces fit smoothly. Best is price, it is really affordable, we got several budgets for similar units all them were close to $2K. I am giving only four stars because durability test is only in progress.

Quality materials. Keeps the afternoon sun off of the side of the house and sliding glass doors. Significantly lowers interior temperature. Hopefully it will last in the Salty air and sun here on the Central Florida coast. General installation experience is recommended
