I was so excited to use this pan. I followed the pre-seasoning instructions and also bought avocado oil for cooking with. Was not able to get good grill marks and the pan was very hard to clean. So disappointed because I have other products from Our Place.

This is one of my favorite grill pans. It distributes the heat well and its easy to clean up after use. I have been slowly switching to cast iron and this is a great addition. It is very sturdy and durable. It is easy to use.

With my kitchen completely gutted for a remodel, I have been feeding a family with only a BBQ grill and a 35 yr old convection + microwave oven. My microwave is where all my cookware is stored, so I’ve had only a dutch oven, a tempered glass bowl plus 2 discount store cookie sheets (they nest & fit in the microwave) since August. At this point I have a high appreciation for cookware that can be used on any cooking surface to perform any cooking task. My new Our Place Cast Iron Grill can do exactly that. This grill will: - Work well with induction/high magnetic conductivity with great capacity for even heating - Perform indoor searing/grilling - Take the direct heat of an outside smoker/grill - Move between oven baking and stovetop searing or vice versa - Make/bake flatbreads with sear marks - Act as a lid or cooking layer with my dutch oven I can verify that this grill will stack with and (almost) fit my dutch oven. It isn’t a perfect fit, but it is quite close. Used as a lid it doesn’t sit inside the dutch oven , it sits on the edge. So I will want to separate the pieces to move them so that none of the pieces move or slip around. Given the weight of cast iron, I’d do that once they were full of food anyway. By stacking these pieces together I’m envisioning the possibilities: - baking bread while also roasting garlic - cooking homemade mac and cheese in the dutch oven, meat in the grill pan covered by the lid to keep the spatter down and the moisture in - slowly cooking a roast in the dutch oven, root veggies with some broth in the grill with the the lid on to prevent burning My only con for this piece is that I prefer to keep a protective layer between my enamel and anything that could chip it. The one true enemy of cast enamel is chipping. Once the enamel is chipped, the iron will rust/oxidize, and this will eventually further damage the spot where it chipped, even if you season the chipped spot. So I would have liked it if the item had shipped with some sort of protective gizmo for the rim edge. I’ll just store it in the box until I can locate another set of those rubbery lid spacer things so I can safely store all these pieces stacked together. This is a super versatile, attractive piece that I’ll be using often.
