We have 4 cats and were constantly scooping. It made it difficult for our cat sitter as well when we were away for a few days. We purchases an enclosed automatic box but only 1 of our cats would use it and the other 3 kept using the old boxes. We decided to try an open top automatic box and it worked so well we bought a second one! Very easy set up, the app is intuitive. We like these so much we may get a third! Reasonably priced, keeps the smell to a minimum and I love that the drum and liner are washable. We did get steps for our boxes due to the various ages and agility of our kitties (sold separately) Update Oct 2025: we did get a third box, since all four of our kitties prefer the open top design and would only use the enclosed LR-similar one as a last resort. So far, 3 boxes for 4 cats is working out well. I have found that if I pull the draw out once a day and shake the waste to the front that it will not get stuck during the cleaning cycle. It happened twice on two different boxes; the drum got stuck in the upside down position because the sensor was being tripped as the freshly disposed clumps piled too high.

Edit 2: It's been a while and every day it still shocks me how garbage this thing is but now I can't afford a different one. LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS. DO NOT TRY IT. ITS NOT WORTH IT. GET SOMETHING BETTER FOR SLIGHTLY MORE. THIS IS CHEAP GARBAGE THEOUGH AND THEOUGH. ZERO REDEEMING QUALITIES. THIS IS BARELY A STEP ABOVE MANUAL SCOOPING WHEN YOU HAVE TO LEAVE IT ON MANUAL AND THEN PROCEED TO KICK IT EVERY TIME I GETS STUCK BECAUSE OF HOW ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE THIS CRAP IS. Edit: I made the mistake of doing a replacement instead of just doing a return and the new one has the same problems with faulty sensors causing it to stop half way through cleaning upside down. The only way I can use this stupid thing is in manual mode and when I'm in front of it so I can actually see that it completed because there's a 50/50 chance now every single time it cleans that it will just get stuck and then I need to pick it up and shake it around, sometimes unplug and replug it just to get it to do the stupid thing it's supposed to do. Why is it so hard to find any products these days that aren't crap? ALSO: Every time I put it in manual mode via the app, the moment the box loses power for any reason it reverts to automatic mode, which is a massive ****** problem when it can't be trusted to not totally block my cat from using the litterbox until I manually "fix" it. TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS! And if you do, godspeed because this thing is hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a self cleaning litterbox. If they could just, I don't know, do the basic bare minimum thing of at least letting it SAVE my disabling of automatic mode I could at least use it "manually" so I don't need to worry as much, but if I'm away from home and the power dips or something it's basically guaranteed at this point that I will be returning to "accidents" outside of the box because this thing is too stupid to do its only job. I've had this for maybe two-three weeks and the stupid thing is already broken. First it got stuck upside down mid cleaning so my cat couldn't use it, then it kept complaining about the anti pinch infrared sensor, and now when it tries to clean it just straight up doesn't do anything but slightly rock the bin so I guess it's just broke now. Fantastic waste of money. Was good when it worked. Now, it have to manually help this stupid garbage do the thing I paid for it to do because the company couldn't be bothered to use decent quality parts I guess. Great time.

Ok this product has made my life easier! It works perfectly, never have I had an issue with it and I’ve had it about 3 months. HOWEVER, if your cats are like my cats then they will love to kick the dang litter out all over!! So while this litter box is a high quality , perfectly sized, easy to clean box. My cats make it hard for me still to keep the area clean.

Works great and I like that it has an appropriate keep track of when it's used, change the frequency of cleaning and tells you when it needs to be emptied. It does need to be on a flat surface, not carpet. I have it on carpet and the sensors do not work properly. I just went to home depot and got a 24x24 piece of wood to put it on and everything works great. My cat immediately took to the box too!
