What a great treadmill! My plan was to fold it up and store it in the corner of the room then bring it out into the middle of the room on a mat to protect the floors. I had some concerns about moving it after reading reviews. A number of people said it was too much to move before and after every use. I suppose if I was going across the house it might be different but I have no problem moving it. For reference, I’m 5’6”, about 125 lbs. Moving it really isn’t a big deal. It has wheels, thankfully, and the hydronic lift/drop is super helpful. The only complaint I have so far is that I sometimes accidentally turn it off. There’s a stop button on the left handrail and a couple times I’ve put my hand down and accidentally pressed the button. It doesn’t take a lot of force. The buttons are pretty sensitive so I just need to be more mindful. The real mistake I made was, after it was delivered, I was so excited to receive it and I ended up dragging the box into and through the house and then attempted to lift it out of the box. That was stupid. I should’ve waited for my fiancé to get home to help me. I consider myself lucky not to have broken my back. It’s heavy people. This is a sturdy, well made treadmill and therefore, it has some weight to it. After coming to terms that if I continued to try to lift it out, I would throw my back out, I decided to come up with a different plan. Instead of lifting the treadmill out of the box, I cut the box on each side which allowed me to simply slide the treadmill out of the box. Much easier! Setup was pretty quick after that. Very straightforward. The graphics on the manual could be bigger though. I’ve had lasik eye surgery and still had to squint to see which screw went into which hole. Nevertheless, it’s an easy setup. I researched for DAYS pretty much every treadmill Amazon has under $500 and finally settled on this one. We have a home gym in the granny flat but that’s mostly strength training and I need to get in some cardio. Having a treadmill in the house is much more convenient than going outside in what’s about to be freezing cold weather. This treadmill gives me everything I was looking for. I wanted the security of having handrails (in my head, it makes me feel like I won’t fall off) but I also wanted as wide and long a base as possible (again, so I feel like I won’t fall off). But I also wanted to be able to fold it up and put it out of sight. This one is perfect! No issues at all with getting too close to the back or to the edges. Love the shelf for my phone and two little cubbies that I usually have the remote and a bottle of water in. It’s not very loud. I always have the tv on and usually just increase the volume by 2 or 3. I can easily have a conversation and not have any issues hearing the other person. It doesn’t even scare the cats, which is saying something! All in all, this was a really great purchase, especially for the price! I’ve only used proper gym treadmills a couple of times but I don’t feel any real difference using this, in comparison. This tread mill is super user friends, doesn’t take up a ton of room, smooth for walking. It folds up nicely and can be put in a smaller area if needed. The only draw back is the assembly but that doesn’t take away from the product just my mechanical capabilities

This is a budget treadmill. I can't speak to durability, which really is the difference. If it lasts, this will be a good buy. If not, its trash. As for the operation, set up was a snap. It says it takes two people but I did it easily by myself. I am 5'8" 155 so not big. Once set up, it's easy to start running. The device itself is a little noisy, but not as bad once you go faster. I did 9 minute miles easily. The tread is narrow- this is a compact device. The control device is almost indecipherable- speeding up or slowing down and stopping are all that I can figure out. Don't buy this for the workout programs or raising or lowering pitch. However, its cheap, small, and seems to work well for non-speed effort runs, for a person my size. We use this treadmill in our TV room and food it up between uses. I like that it is quiet, I like the preset programs, the auto incline and the desk. We fold and move it back towards the wall each time we are done using. This is awkward, I wish moving it was easier but we get the job done.

    • Dead on Arrival. Never dealing with this company again.

Arrived dead. After assembly (which is not easy considering absolutely HORRENDOUS instructions), did not turn on at all. Reported it to Customer Support. They sent us a PDF that described "troubleshooting procedures", which basically involved taking the whole apart again, removing panels, testing the cables and wires, messing with the "control board", etc... Yeah, we are not treadmill technicians and should not be subjected to this ridiculousness. Nevertheless, we soldiered on and did everything they described, only to find out that it still doesn't work, after all of the tests. Then, these Customer Support geniuses told us that it's a "bad screen" that is causing the treadmill not to turn on. I'm sorry, what? How the hell does a SCREEN affect the actual process of POWERING UP a treadmill? Ok, fine, we figured we'd humor them and agree for them to send us another screen. After more than a week (which is disrespectful in itself, because if you're trying to fix a broken product, you send items to your customers OVERNIGHT), we finally received a box with the screen. It was literally just that - screen parts, in a box. That's it. No Styrofoam, no packing materials, nothing that would keep it safe and secure throughout the shipment. The bracket was actually missing from the screen, so we had to remove the old one from the other "bad" screen" and attach it, and the "screen" itself was not even mounted on its own frame, we had to do that ourselves as well. After finally getting the screen ready to replace the old one, we realized that the cables that this new screen had soldered into it don't even match the cables that are soldered into the treadmill portion! Impossible to connect. So after wasting over a week of our time, they couldn't even send us the correct replacement part that we could use. Returned this garbage back to Amazon (thank you Amazon for awesome Customer Service in picking up this piece of junk from our house) and will never deal with company again. ... show more
