This was my first incubator ever bought (after having chickens 4 years & hatching out our own eggs as a kid in a home made styrofoam incubator) and I’m super impressed with the results!! Used a combination of different breed eggs with over a 90% hatch rate! There is no humidity control button but I just made sure it was filled with as much water as possible towards the end & during the hatching period. I hardly ever opened it at all during the 3 week cycle. Very impressed & considering ordering another one. I also rarely leaves reviews!

Please please please do not buy this! Me and my daughter were hatching chickens and it said the humidity was self regulating. We watched 1 of the only 3 chickens out of 11, that didnt boil to death, struggle trying to breathe, and die in front of us. We were told not to assist, that they had to do it on their own but he died of exhaustion and trying to breath in too humid of an enviroment. That chick ended up saving the only 2 that survived. We bought a temperature/humidity guage and paid to have it delivered in hours. Turns out they were over 100 humidity and the temperature guage was wrong. We figured out what was wrong by contemplating on what we saw with the baby chick dying and tried to manually regulate it and couldn't. We had to give it almost no water plus stuff something in the side of it and either the temperature would raise to much or the humidity was too much or not enough either way there was no way of getting them to run perfectly parallel. So we had to open it slightly followed by closing it and repeat and take turns watching them day and night so the last 2 didnt die. You are not supposed to open it at all when the chickens are birthing or until they are dry... lthey are suppised to be in lock down. There was no temperature or amount of water that was safe for them to run together the way that they should. It was a horrid process that I do not wish to repeat. I will not be doing this again. If anything ill buy the hen and rooster that will birth them if I dont have alot of money to purchase one that people swear by. Please please please save yourself the heartache of going with this product.

Worked for one hatching. Turner stopped working mid way through this next batch of eggs and now makes and awful grinding noise.

First batch worked ok, had about a 40% hatch rate with many of the eggs stopping developing or not hatching when fully developed. Had to constantly check on it because it did keep turning off if the plug wasn’t positioned a certain way. The water does not drain itself into the water chamber. 3 days into my second batch the turner is no longer wanting to work. Praying I caught it in time and this clutch is not ruined.
