  • Easy to Use & Great Hatch Rates
This incubator is simple to set up and does a great job keeping the temperature and humidity steady. The automatic turner works well, and I really like the clear 360° window — it makes it easy to check on the eggs without opening the lid. I had a good hatch rate, and it’s perfect for small batches of 12–22 eggs. ... show more

  • First Time Incubating, 100% Hatch Rate
This is the first incubator I've ever owned or used and it functioned perfectly. The printed instructions were easy to follow in spite of it having a couple misspelled words. Since I keep the temperature in my home around 65 degrees I opted to wrap a bath towel around the unit as insulation, but being careful to leave the two lid vent holes uncovered. The upper section of the incubator can be a little tricky to fit onto the lower section, but with some practice the tabs will line up in their proper positions. I started incubating my first batch of ten eggs (saved from one of my New Hampshire pullets) on October 17th, and on November 6th all ten hatched, and I now have ten healthy chicks in my brooder box. I'm looking forward to hatching a second batch of eggs in the next couple months. ... show more

  • Excellent incubator! Highly recommended!!!
The media could not be loaded. I absolutely love this incubator! I would have given it 6 stars if i could! And here's why.........I did quite a bit of studying and research on incubators in general and knew I didn't want the type that you had to use the Styrofoam packaging to help keep temperatures, and I wanted the eggs to roll, not just rock back and forth like those cheaper ones at farm stores. I always came back to this one but hesitated because of the price, but my husband told me to go ahead and buy it. BOY am I ever so glad I did!!! It is so easy to set-up and I am truly astounded with my success rate of live hatchlings!! First time using the Manna incubator, I only put in 12 chicken eggs. (Now keep in mind I have NEVER used an incubator of any type, ever....so this was my virgin run so to speak.) I love the automatic countdown timer, that is so much easier than trying to keep track on a calendar. When day 19 arrives, which for chickens, is when the Lock-down starts, the egg roller stops turning automatically (youll see that light turn off on top) and thats when you remove the turning tray. The candling light is great! Definitely bright enough to see what you need to see whats going on inside the shells. (Darker/colored shells are more difficult, but the air sack is easily spotted, and the light even turs itself off after 5 minutes. I did invest in a small thermometer/ hydrometer that fit perfectly in the center of the turning tray without inhibiting the turning of the eggs, mostly to monitor how accurate the temperature and humidity was from the top to the egg level. And it was within .5° and about spot on for humidity, so I adjusted the temperature up between. 5 to 1 degree. (Now this works for my kitchen due to my household temperature, yours very well could vary. But I definitely recommend purchasing the additional thermometer. ) Adding water was not complicated nor "labor-intensive", once A side is filled, it was simple to add more when needed, for me it was as easy as looking at the little area that you add the water from the exterior, usually 2x per 24 hours. The success rate I've had, as I said has been phenomenal! 11 live hatches out of 12 1st run. 2nd time I got to work with reloading with 20 hen eggs, to which I got 18 live chicks!! I currently have a full 21 and down to day 12 on the countdown timer, so we'll see how many hatch this time! I absolutely 💯% recommend this incubator to anyone who is interested in trying to hatch their own flock! ... show more

  • The WORST. Do. Not. Buy!
This is constantly being hailed as one of the best incubators in its class, and yet in my vast experience (been incubating birds of all kinds since I was a kid raised on farm) it is one of the worst I’ve EVER used. The data doesn't lie. Take a look at the data I pulled from less than one day. This data is from, in my opinion, the most top of line model of Govee thermometer/hygrometer. It’s what I use in all my hatches now and it has never failed me. The picture speaks volumes. Because I know people will ask, yes this thermo-hygrometer is calibrated correctly. AND perhaps the WORST part is that these temps were recorded after I’d had even worse numbers and started remediation. This incubator was put into a closet with stable temps/no drafts. It was put inside of a sterlite tub to ensure 100% that there were no drafts, and it was covered with a thick towel. That’s correct, all of those “tricks” and the temperatures were still this unreliable. Take a look at the fluctuations! It’s set at 100 always, and goes from 97-102 throughout a day!! To me, that is the epitome of terrible quality. As you can see, these dips and rises are in increments, and that is because the thermo-hygrometer is turning with the egg turner. Therefore, I can safely deduce that this incubator has severe cold and hot spots that are lethal to the eggs that incubate in that area. It’s such a relatively small incubator that this type of inconsistency should never happen. Don’t even get me started on how bad it is at maintaining humidity. Over the years, I’ve used everything from homemade incubators, to cheap $50 incubators, to top of the line cabinet incubators. Most have their advantages and disadvantages, but I’ve never seen fluctuations like this. It’s atrocious. This will absolutely ruin your hatch. ... show more
