  • This thing is the bomb
Color: black
Easy setup, and it worked magnificently immediately. Before I got it, my wifi was intermittent, and when I took work meetings, the wifi would cut out every few seconds, making it extremely difficult to hear or be heard. Now, it is smooth, and there is no lag...life is good

  • Simple, easy to use, and provides fanominal signal.
Color: black
I bought this particular wi-fi adapter for a desktop computer that needed something ten times better. The unit that was included with the PC was a simple finger tip sized USB dongle that only had a weak signal and poor quality. That said, I installed the TP-link to combat this issue. This adapter can either plug directly into a USB3.0 port, or plugged into a cradle that gives the unit more room to stand straight up. This in turn offered the best signal. There are two dual band routers installed in the home, and even the main router had about three bars although it was all the way on the second floor. The router that I use I had installed myself close to my area, but if I hadn't, this little gem still would have performed well. This unit is amazing, and is easy to unpack and install even for a totally blind person like myself. Just decide how you wish your device to be placed, either straight up on a desk or plugged into the computer's USB port, then plug it in and get back in business. I've had no problems with the device so far. It works extremely well and allows me to perform activities even when out on the swing. It also works well for online gaming, and work or school. Lastly, the price tag was no issue. I would absolutely recommend this for someone who needs a great wi-fi adapter to be installed externally. ... show more

  • Good Lawd, it works well.
Color: black
I've used a few USB dongles on my laptop to try and get wifi at work, and all of them seem to be "ok", but really I lose the signal maybe once an hour, and none of them were really satisfactory. I saw a review in a PC magazine about the TP-Link AC1900 USB WiFi Adapter, so bought it assuming it wouldn't hurt to try something new. Good Lawd, I can now connect to two hotels next to my work, and even a hotel on the other side of the river my work is near, I googled it and the hotel is 1200' away. There are weird wifi signals that I can only assume to be residential. Absolutely mind-blown, I have to share how creepy-amazing this device is. Unbelievable. Perfect wifi at work for two days now. And if work wifi doesn't function, I can always choose a few hotels wifi to use; so far one of their PWs are "guest" and another has no PW. Beyond pleasantly surprised. I regret not getting something like this sooner. The price is oddly low as well. Oh yea, it's plug-and-play. Didn't need any drivers, even though it came with a CD, which worried me at first. ... show more

  • GREAT After I Realized a Windows SETTING was stopping it from working. EVERYONE TRY What I did!
Color: black
RE: TP-Link AC1900 USB 3.0 WiFi Adapter for PC (Archer T9UH)- Dual Band Wireless Network Dongle Like a lot of other people I thought this thing didn't work & was about to send it back. Looked up all kinds of reviews for other ones like this and over & over saw the same theme, dropped connections or slow speed. We'd gotten a new Dell PC so our oldish one went to a back office and we got this to amp up it's (outdated) wifi capabilities. No matter what we tried it would only work verrrrrryyyyyy slowly. The other day I started messing around looking at wifi settings and had almost given up when I stumbled across the page that changed everything. Keep in my this is Windows 10 I am talking about so if you have something different, figure it out from what I did: >> NETWORK CONNECTIONS >>ADVANCED NETWORK SETTINGS and then, there it was: >>CHANGE ADAPTER OPTIONS what I saw before me were 5 things (2 of which matter here), and only one (the PC) WAS connected to wifi. What's the problem then? One of the OTHER things that showed up was: "Wifi TP Link Wireless USB Adapter" <~~ NOT connected to the wifi I right clicked to connect it and you could almost hear it peel out. I immediately did a speedtest and laughed my head off when it was blazing fast. And it stayed that way. ***UPDATE: A couple weeks later the same happened, I repeated above and saw it needed to be RE-Connected so that fixed it again. While this is a great product, having to do that, despite having "Automatically connect" checked off, reduces it a star, but looking at other brands reviews I still feel I picked the best of all the options. At least this has a quick easy fix by searching Windows for NETWORK CONNECTIONS and doing above*** So all that time the slowness was just the old computer (normally fast when hooked up directly to the internet) trying to chug along and suddenly become a wifi PC with it's wifi tech from 15 years ago...it wasn't the adapter at all, because the adapter, though it showed all the signs of being hooked up properly, wasn't REALLY doing anything due to that one setting deep inside Windows that no one indicated was a thing when using this. And I found it. ME. The unlikeliest of tech gurus on the planet. Try it! It seems like we have two new Dell PCs now with this upgrade. You're welcome! :) ... show more
