  • Very happy with this! It works GREAT!
Color: Yellow
Holds steady temp! I’m amazed at how well this bator works. I’ve used many different small/inexpensive incubators as well as large, very pricey cabinet incubators, and this one is the best out of all the countertop type bators. It is a nice size and doesn’t take up too much space, and very simple to operate. It’s also easy to clean, which is very important to me. I used it to hatch some shipped Button Quail eggs that were held up in transit for an entire week. The eggs spent 10 days total in transit and I didn’t have much hope for a good hatch, but using this incubator, I had a 75% hatch rate! The plastic dome is thick and very sturdy. I dropped it once on concrete floor and it didn’t crack or chip. I highly recommend this for small hatches. It would be perfect for a classroom because the clear dome provides great visibility! ... show more

  • Worked Well on Our Counter
Color: Blue
We incubated 18 eggs in this unit. Out of that we ended up with 14 viable chicks. Sadly 11 of them were roosters, but I can’t blame the product for that! This incubator worked well for us and was fairly easy to use and clean. At points we did have to experiment with the amount of water and how much of the water was exposed in the tray in order to get the humidity level where it needed to be. ... show more

  • Caution for Dry hatcher/ Terrible machine
Color: Yellow
If you are a dry hatcher, avoid this incubator, it is a nightmare. I have several problems using this machine. (1) The humidity alarm will trigger if you are below 40% humidity and sound an alarm (2) You can not disable the alarm, there is no way to adjust the trigger level and it will sound (very loudly) until to hit the button.... and it will sound again in about 1/2 an hour. You literally have to babysit the machine 24/7 (3) There is no customer service number to call, I checked all the documentation, there is only a support email. I contacted the email and it bounced. (4) The temperature indicator is wildly incorrect, not even close, so make sure you are using a thermocouple of your own to confirm temperature. I had to rescue every chick from the shell with this machine and had several early failures, (this has never happened before) comparably I ran my standard small hatch incubator (with eggs from the same clutch) and had no problems whatsoever. I believe the failures were due to the loud alarm. Recommendation for Dry Hatchers: Avoid this machine altogether and order the Smart Incubator, I have had 100% hatch rates using that machine for small batches using dry hatch method for difficult birds like French Copper Marans.. ... show more

  • Worth Every Penny
Color: Blue
Exceptional Incubator. Candles eggs and had 100 viability! In love with it already! I dont have to track days, I love that it counts down backwards as well. Set up was great, instructions were easy to read and understand. This Incubator is definitely worth the money. Husband and I are already looking forward to replace our old one with other one of these. ... show more

  • Great fluffbutt maker
Color: Yellow
The media could not be loaded. Works great! I suggest getting another hygrometer just to monitor but machine hygrometer was good! Great hatch ratio!

  • Awful Humidity Control! Temperature Spikes! Don’t Buy!
Color: Blue
I had very high hopes for this incubator but I am so disappointed that I won’t be using again after the end of the current incubation period. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because I did very much appreciate the slow and gentle egg turning feature. It’s very smooth compared to another incubator that I am currently running alongside this one. I also appreciate the auto stop feature. However, the temperature control is a little off and it runs hotter than the display reads. My first batch out of this incubator resulted in early hatches with chicks underdeveloped and failing to fully absorb the yolk sac due to the temp reading a full degree lower than it actually was. To me that’s not a total dealbreaker though since an independent thermometer will help fix that. However, I watched my independent thermometer rise to 102f and fall back down to 99.5 all in a span of 20 minutes a couple times so there is definitely something wrong with this unit. The bigger problem is the humidity control. It gets way too high even with just a little bit of water. Filling the reservoir A as instructed results in humidity levels well over 70% which is not appropriate for days 1-18! I have to micromanage the humidity with tiny additions at a time every few hours because it fluctuates so wildly. Cap on/off, vent open/close has almost no effect on maintaining the humidity. My ambient room temperature and humidity are controlled also so there is no reason for the wild fluctuations. I went to bed the night before last and it was hovering at 55, with 7 days to go before hatch date. I woke up the next morning and it was at 71% with nothing having changed. I candled and ALL of the air cells are far too small so I have decided to allow the humidity to drop and am now dry hatching in the hopes that the excess moisture will evaporate before moving them into the lockdown incubator because as of now, the entire clutch is at risk! Please don’t buy this incubator. I paid less for a different one by another brand that works far better, despite the faster turning. This one also turns far too frequently in my opinion. Every 2 hours with no option to change the setting. I would return if I could but it’s been in use for several weeks now. ... show more

  • It works
Color: Yellow
Very good incubator and easy to use. I put 14 eggs in and they all hatched!

  • Mostly a great experience.
Color: Yellow
Great size. I had 9 out of 18 baby quail hatch! Wish I had a non-skid mat in it. Two babies got leg injuries from the holes and they are stumbling now. Not the seller's fault though I know for next time. The cord kept falling out and disconnecting, so I taped it on to avoid losing power. The heat seemed to stay steady, but I placed a little digital thermometer/hydrometer in it, and it showed a lower temperature. The water trays were very nice as I didn't have to open it to add water. The candler didn't work for the quail eggs, but it would probably work great with chicken eggs. Still happy with the incubator and probably a better outcome next time. ... show more
