Love the product design, from the color to the ribs, to the algae material. However for me, it was too soft, a little smaller than I wanted, and for the price, despite its positives, I elected to return it. However if you have the extra bucks and like a softer foam, this is the perfect product.

I don't get the people complaining about firmness when it's marketed as firm, high-density foam. I think it's the perfect amount of firmness if you are looking for a firm roller (not a soft or medium one). The design is really nice, although I wish I'd got the seafoam color since I live by the beach. I like the waves too. I actually wonder if that's why people are complaining about firmness, because of the waves and the digging-in/massaging effect they have. They do dig in more than a standard waveless foam roller. I personally like it though. This is actually my favorite foam roller I've used and the one that got me to use it daily. I've used them before but never consistently. This feels so good and really loosens up my muscles, so I do it at least every morning after waking up because I'm often stiff after sleeping. I think this size Tidal (20 x 5) is the best size because it's large enough for you to use on every part of your body (back, legs, buttox, shoulders etc.). Now the one downside. The eco-friendliness claims. They put on the label that it cleans & restores 26.2 gallons of water. It also cleans 75.1 grams of Co2. These are probably true BUT they also put that they harvest the algae in America and the product is made in China. That means they're shipping the algae to China, and then shipping the completed product back. That's not an eco-friendly supply chain process. Ideally, you'd like to see an eco-friendly company at least build in the U.S. or closer, like in Mexico/Canada. To be fair, if they didn't make such a marketing stink about being eco friendly, and just focused on why algae is better than other chemical foams/foam rollers, I wouldn't have cared. Either way I do really recommend this foam roller if you're looking for a firm foam roller that really loosens up your body.

This Oceanfoam Tidal roller is thick and extremely firm. There is no give to it, which is good for those needing a deep tissue massage. It's not a comfortable thing, but it's great when needing something solid to support the lower back or raise the legs during exercise. It can be used against a wall or on the floor to help work out knots and stiffness in the larger sore muscles of the back, hips, buttocks, and legs. I use it on the bottom of my feet as well, for a nice massage and stretch to my plantar fascia. The colors are very vibrant, and remind me of beach colors or a sunset. I love that this is an eco-friendly product, made with harvested algae.

The Oceanfoam full sized foam roller is probably one of the best foam rollers that I have used in quite a while. Measuring at a full 20" long and 5" thick it's probably one of my favorites for multipurpose use pre and post workout. This foam roller is solidly built. It's fully supportive of my 220 pounds. It's firm and does not flex or deform under my weight. Additionally, it's eco friendly, made from algae and the center core is made from recycled EVA foam. If and when they release a foam roller that has a more deep and aggressive pattern I will be buying that one too. I would recommend. 5 stars
