I purchased this so I could do a regen on my 2014 ram 3500 diesel. Says in there that it will do it but the program isn't there. But the company made it right. It will work for my truck. But no Regen. OBD 2 reader works great!

This scanner worked as advertised on my 2001 Dodge 2500 diesel. Other scanners I tried did not work so well due to the CCD Chrysler protocol used on the vehicle. Easy to use, clear codes, and view engine status. Initial customer service was good but due to Lunar Year festivities afterwards, customer service lacked a timely response. Unit is made in China.

Worth it's weight in gold. 09 Journey reset codes on airbags, calibrated crankshaft sensor, cleard oxygen sensor codes... cleared turn signal codes.

I was looking forward to receiving this scan tool and really wanted to love it. After successfully installing all the available software updates, it was time to try to see if I can proceed in clearing some old codes in my vehicle that were lingering. Some attempts would be successful, but the scanner would also occasionally freeze up on one of its screens when displaying “loading data… please wait…” well after waiting 30 minutes at least, still stuck on that screen with no way out, I had to disconnect the OBD2 cable just to start over again. I wish the software would have had some sort of timeout feature when encountering these errors reading the data. CGSULIT Customer support was terrific and they really tried to work with me with suggestions on fixing this issue. However, I still had to return this product due to this major design flaw.

This is a two part review. Part 1: Once I received the unit - a world of difference in identifying what was going on with my 2016 Dodge Charger. I was able to see and clear “gremlin” codes found in the car. Able to do basic re-learns that I would consider routine maintenance. Product worked well. Part 2: The unit stopped communicating with my car all of a sudden. Re-connected with PC and the same. Reached out directly to the company and will say they went above and beyond to get me squared away ASAP. After their techs could not pinpoint my issue with the device - they sent a replacement right away. Needless to say the unit has been working excellent now. I appreciated their constant support and reaching out to make sure my needs were net. Would recommend this for your Dodge Charger.

I'll start with the better part of the of the unit. I pretty durable for the most part. Since getting it unboxed, and getting it updated the scanner keys took several pushes before it would acknowledge that they were pressed. You an option for metric or imperial measurements. Now that's funny. While it does have that option it's a joke half measurements are in psi, mph, mpg, hp, Fahrenheit, fuel capacity gallons. Then the half is metric. Nms, bar, kph, Celsius. It's displayed like this through live data, active test, ECU configuration, PCM odometer. It doesn't matter how many time you try update the machine, or check the imperial box. Also for language option is an English flag, not and American flag, or any other English dominant speaking country. So many operating systems glitches. You very little re-learn options, more than have of the time, to save time when replacing a sensor, new engine, transmission sensors. I just disconnect the battery for a while and hope the pcm will do a self relearn that work a lot better than this so call bidirectional scanner, it not even close its more of an expensive paper weight. This my experience with Chinese products and not just on Amazon, but other sites as well. With Chinese products it's usually the third time of receiving one after sending yhe two before I'll get one that works like it should, or Fits like it's supposed to. Oh forget customer support from GCSulit. I truly believe they don't exist, like Bigfoot they are mythical creatures, used to offer false hope those who didn't make the 30 day return window that the buyer will believe that they have someone that will help when they miss the return time. I'm on number 2 now and it's only good for to be flushed down the sewer pipe, like real number 2.

I was tired of buying the cheap readers that basically did little if nothing to give the user actually usable information. So I decided to spend much more and get one that I felt was more professional. This unit did the job-plain and simple. It was easy to use, and gave me the code and readout of what the issue was on my Jeep. I did not have to go looking on the web for what the code meant. So arming myself with this information I was able to discuss the issue ahead of time with my Jeep service advisor. And it was dead accurate. I would highly recommend this unit and be sure to know which make you are buying it for, because when you do, you will get great information back pertaining to your make. In my opinion, this unit paid for itself the first time I used it. Customer service is wonderful as well. Good product, good company behind it.
