We absolutley love these fans. I think this is our third one from Obabala. The blades are real wood and they are so beautiful! There is great airflow from the blades and we get lots of compliments on it. We have one in our livingroom and our gameroom, this one is now going in the bedroom. It is totally silent when in use. We don't use the light much as we have other lights we use but it works great. The fan and remotes that we've bought before from this same company have worked great for several years now. I was searching for a fan to go with our new pool house renovation and came across this unit. Was listed as outdoor compatible and the styling was nice so took a shot. Fan is well built, easy to install, and wiring was simple. It uses a similar controller to what you find in most fans these days. I bypassed the light control so we could run that on separate switch which was easy enough. Multiple speed settings and it all worked as designed out of the box. The different light temperatures are a nice option as well. Lastly the weight on the blades is a lot lighter than you would expect which made the install easy and I found all the holes to line up exactly as they were drilled which is always welcome. ... show more

    • BROKE after one day, clearly not built to last, hard installation

The instructions are convoluted and very hard to understand. Luckily there was a helpful installation video on Amazon so I was able to install it just fine eventually, with lots of frustration and figuring things out myself. The night we installed it, it was completely functional and working very well, the fan was very powerful!! The next morning we had the fan running on low speed for about an hour, and then it stopped and started beeping at us. We turned it off and let it rest for a few hours, however the next time we went to try to use it, the fan no longer functioned as normal. It would barely even turn at the low setting, and limped along very slowly at the highest setting. The fan motor also started making a clicking/grinding noise. Even after completely re-doing all the wiring, the light still works perfectly but the fan motor no longer seems to function. Overall very disappointing as this is a very beautiful fan and we would have been very satisfied if it had worked! At least we know now that it wasn't build to last while we can still return it instead of a couple months or so down the line like other reviews have mentioned. ... show more

The fans are beautiful and works so well. I purchased three, and two were installed in a large bedroom. We especially love the ability to change the lighting as well as the strength of the airflow. The fact that the remote control comes with a handy holder that you can mount on the wall was an additional added benefit. My contractor installed them for me, but he didn't complain so I assume they were pretty easy. I have to also say that the customer service from this company has been excellent. They are very responsive, helpful, and so professional-they went out of their way to help me. The design of these fans is very unique and beautiful. Love the fan. It’s the style we wanted. Easy to put up. Very quiet and moves a lot of air. Overall very pleased. However, the remote will not allow you to choose a primary light temperature so you have to toggle between all 3 every time you turn the light on. It’s a little annoying and would have likely paid a little more for another fan if I had known of this is issue. For me the inconvenience is significant since we turn this primary bedroom light on many times a day. Otherwise it’s a great fan. ... show more

The fan meets my expectations: quiet, remote works fine, looks good and each of the light colors are bright enough to fill an area. For my installation I was able to use the two screws included to attach the base to the junction box but required a washer each to fit snug. I would recommend this fan because of its DC motor, operation and looks. I would like it to attach without a down rod but it doesn't. ... show more

6 speeds gives you the desired air flow to cool down the most hottest days. Very stylish! Installed in about 30-45 straight out of the box. Only problem was the existing screws were not durable enough to support the fan on its highest and it shakes. Once the screws were replaced it resolved the problem. ... show more
