When I got in my SUV to go to church it started just fine. When I came out of church my battery was completely dead. A couple of men there at church tried to boost my vehicle off, but it wouldn't turn over. After leaving the cables on both batteries for more than a half hour the battery would allow the horn to honk but the engine only made a clicking noise. I called and asked my son to go to my house and get this charger and bring it. I had recently purchased it and had not used it yet. I bought it to boost my riding lawn mower. My son reluctantly agreed to go get the charger, but stated that if a car battery could not start it then it was a waste of time to go get the charger. He had purchased one of a different brand and he had to return it because it started his car but the engine died and the charger didn't have enough energy to start it again. He did get my charger and bring it to the church. The engine wouldn't make a sound when I tried it before he put the charger on. As soon as he connected it my vehicle started. He and the other guys were surprised. But my engine died. My son almost lost it because he just knew that it was not going to start again. He put the charger back on and right away it started. Again the engine died, and again it started right up. My son and the guys that were helping me all marveled at the power of this little charger. I got the vehicle running but I had to stop and get gasoline before I went home, so I had to kill the engine at the service station, and it wouldn't turn over without the charger. After I got started again I went to the auto store to get the battery checked. I had to get a new battery because that one had dead cells. Since the battery was still under warranty I didn't have to pay but a few dollars for the new battery. I am so pleased with with this charger not only because it is a great product. But also because I am a little ol' 73 year old lady and I had a piece of equipment that the young men said wouldn't work. I will tell every woman that you need to get this charger. And all of the men, who are not too proud, need to get one also. (Just joking about you all being too proud).

I got the smallest. (12800mah, 1000A) one, which should have been fine for my car. (Chrysler Pacifica, 3.6L engine.) It barely is. Freshly charged, it managed to jump the car after 3-4 tries. If you wait a day after charging, it isn't able to do it. 1000 peak amps, 600 cranking amps should be enough to reliably jump a 3.6L with ease, so I assume the specs are highly optimistic. Everything else about the item is great. It looks good and feels good. Get a large one, especially if you plan on leaving it in your glove compartment.

This has saved my ass so many times , I’m my opinion everyone should have one of these in there trunks at all times. Battery last a while too , it has never went dead on me , I got the 1500A model and I can jump my car 4-5 times and let it sit in my truck for months and it will still do at 90% battery. Great product especially for the price. I will never be stranded from a dead battery again or have to ask a stanger for a jump and pray they have jumper cables.
