I was so excited to order this because I've been wanting the flexibility this weight set offers. I appreciate that it's at an affordable price. This product is extremely functional, giving a full workout. The grip is perfect as well. I loved these weights so much I purchased another set!

These are good. Especially for the price. They are definitely not premium, but they do not come with a premium price tag. I was able to get two for less than $300, which is awesome. They work are holding up to moderate use. I am not throwing them around or dropping them like you would with typical coated weights at a gym. They are easy to use and adjust. The action is smooth and does not hang up. Once at a weight they do not change or move. I only have two complaints. The 11lb increments is odd, however I get it. They were obviously designed with kilograms in mind and rebadged in pounds. For the price, it’s willing compromise. My other issue is the weights are not balanced completely. If moving them in a motion similar to curls, you can feel they weight is towards the bottom of the bell. It feels similar to doing cable movements from the weight shift. Again, for the price, I can live with that. If I’d paid $700+, it’d be a bigger issue.

So I've been using this for a couple months now, mainly for lunges, and it's been quite good. At 55lbs max, it does have a decent amount of weight for my needs, and it's easy to change the weight either up or down. It does give me a decent workout, although I would rather have a pair for additional weight. It feels good in the hand, and generally feels pretty sturdy. I should note that I do not drop this dumbbell, ever. I think if I were to drop it, it could absolutely break something. They do have barbells out there that are drop-safe, but I don't consider this to be one. That being said, it does feel decently well made, especially for the price. The weights do make a clacking sound when you shake it, but still it feels pretty solid for lunges and the like. Overall, worth it. It's a budget piece of gym equipment, but thus far it's held up well (while not being dropped).

I’m incredibly impressed with this high-quality set of adjustable dumbbells! I got the single version of 55 pounds. That weight is quite heavy for me as a woman, but all I have to do is remove a plate or two on each side and I still have a good challenging weight to lift. Removing or adding plates is simple and lightning fast to do, and the plates are secure when locked correctly into place. It’s a rather ingenious design that reminds me of moving the gears in a lock. I just “dial in my combination” on the handle to lift the weight I want. So clever! The removed weights remain right in place in the custom sturdy stand it comes with. Effectively, this one adjustable dumbbell takes up less space than a whole rack of individual weights, and I get just as much variety. Great space saver. Super cool looking, too!

Good set of weights. They works perfectly well and the weight measurements are accurate. Removing 1 star as the locking mechanism is not very confidence inspiring, I always feel that they will drop on my feet or on my head. They unlock when we keep the dumbells on the stand, and a small button is pushed on the dumbells that would unlock and free the rotator. Other issue is, at full weight, they are too wide and become uncomfortable if you have one in both hands. Easy to use but for the price I would go for the powerblocks.

Man I love this 55lb Dumbbell! I only got one through my vine order for review. But, the plan to complete the set is already in the works! This set of dumbbells will completely replace my other dumbbell sets allowing me to not only save space but have seamless workout sessions with just the twist of the handle. This dumbbell's functionality is unmatched. With a simple twist of the handle, you can lock/release the number of plates to give you the desired weight from 10lbs to 55lbs. The pro-lock system solidly locks the plates in place with no noise nor wobbling during use. The handle itself feels comfortable and ergonomic in the hand. The twisting motion is smooth and easy to perform when the dumbbell is in the base. It felt so smooth that I was a bit concerned that while exercising, I would accidently twist it and the plates would fall out. After over a month of use, I have not once been able to successfully perform the twisting function without use of the base. The simplicity of this dumbbell matched with its functionality makes this a must have for any in-home gym.
