  • Love this machine!
Style: Standalone
We are your average, everyday people who are simply trying to loose weight and get into better shape. We have been using Nordic’s Elliptical now for 3 years and have been extremely happy with it... wanting to work more on our upper body & core we decided to invest in their Fushion CST. Both my husband and I LOVE the CST. Between the two machines we get a full body workout without having to step foot into the gym (we have 3 small kids) We were a little worried we wouldn’t know how to use the machine, or be able to follow/keep up with the trainers, but the machine came with a nice poster that gives you pictured illustrations on certain moves to work certain muscles so you can work muscle groups at your own pace & comfort - it’s awesome! This machine completes are workout routine! ... show more

  • Functional trainer that falls way short, didn't work properly from the factory
Style: Standalone
Pros This is a neat functional training machine. It has much versatility because of the pulley system. It's not for heavy weight lifting but more for those who want resistance training, cardio, movement variation, etc. Suitable for those with injuries and who want to avoid specific heavy movements. The video programs are good -- when they work (more on that later). There are many different series to choose from with varying difficulty and movements. So that's great. You can set the resistance level between 1 and 20, providing much flexibility for varying the resistance. This will also automatically change while following along to an iFit video based on what difficulty you have set. The app tracks your workouts, uploads them to your iFit account, has a calendar of "what video is next" in a series, etc. So there are some excellent ideas packaged in the app and implementation of this exercise machine. -- Cons Expensive. But what can you do? The tablet that comes with the machine is complete garbage. It is a cheap, underpowered Android device. It's reallllllly slow. I read on some forums that you should replace it with a higher-powered tablet. I didn't, and it hasn't been great. The ankle straps that come with the machine are also terrible. They come right off your leg in the middle of a workout. They are velcro with a single loop. I immediately ordered a different ankle strap product by DMoose here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IQ85QYM, and it has been much better. While exercising to an iFit video, you can pause but not rewind or forward the playback. Not sure why; it seems like a no-brainer to allow this obvious functionality. Also, while playing, it will sometimes pause and buffer. Some videos refuse to play. They give a generic error that states, "The video cannot be played." I worked with Customer service to flush the cache, delete and reinstall the app, and so on -- nothing worked. So there are some series I could never start, which is unfortunate and means less variety for me. In general, the iFit streaming technology is buggy and needs improvement. While exercising and traversing from movement to movement or within a movement, the machine will automatically change the resistance level. This is great when it works. On many occasions, it loses sync with the video. It is clearly behind or ahead, choosing an incorrect resistance level that is too heavy or light based on the movement in progress in the video. It's frustrating as you must stop and manually change the resistance level to keep going and then toggle it back to auto for following along in the rest of the video. So. Annoying. Now the worst part: I cannot fully extend when the lower pulleys are configured into the squat rack. It's always been this way from the factory. I had iFit come out under warranty, and they installed new cables. It was better, but I still, to this day, cannot fully extend my arms upwards when using the squat rack. I am 6'4", but I know I should be able to fully extend as I see them do it in the videos quite easily. Such a shame. -- Some other details... it's very heavy, so you will need help moving it to where you plan to set it up. The initial year of iFit with the machine is great, though the ongoing subscription fee is high for families with multiple users. In sum, it's a neat machine with numerous problems that detract from its ultimate aim. If I were in the market for something like this again, I might try Tonal instead of a Fusion CST. I'll update my review if NordicTrack ever resolves any of these things. -- 04-06-2023 update -- Tanner at iFit recently emailed me to ask if I wanted to renew my subscription. I explained my hesitancy with renewing, outlining a few of the most significant issues, and Tanner has yet to reply. That was 11 days ago. It prompted me to write this overdue review. I'll add any future updates to this review. -- 04-07-2023 update -- Tanner responded. He is unable to help me, directing me to contact support. I have been down that road, and support failed to repair the issue from the factory. I haven't revisited it since it would be on me to pay to have a broken-from-the-factory machine fixed. I would avoid this machine. ... show more

  • Amazing home gym
Style: Standalone
Easy to assemble but very heavy. I live alone so I had to assemble it by myself but I would recommend at least two people. I'm a 6 day a week gym goer and I find the NordicTrack Fusion to be a life-saver while the gyms are closed. I was concerned that it may not provide enough counter weight for my strength but it provides an excellent workout even for my strength and size. Highly recommend for the avid gym goer. ... show more

  • Product is great, shipping company and communications not so great
Style: Standalone
We've had this machine for about 3 weeks now and it has produced great workouts. Don't plan on this machine giving you the ability to lift heavy weights, but the resistance it does provide gives a great overall toning workout. Loved the subscription to iFit, which comes free for one year with the product and contains tons of instructor-led workouts that make full use of your machine and are pretty enjoyable. The only negative feedback I have is related to the shipping and communications related to this order. I was asked to select a delivery date at the time of my order and when I checked the shipping status, everything looked on track, with the status as "out for delivery" on my delivery date. After taking off work and waiting all day, no delivery. Took me hours to get ahold of anyone NSD shipping to finally find out that "out for delivery" meant it was being delivered to their sorting facility, not when it would come to me, which was super misleading and cost me a vacation day from work since I had to be here to sign for delivery. The item supposedly arrived at NSD's facility days late, then then took another week getting it to me, even though their facility was 30 minutes from my house. When the item finally arrived, the delivery guys backed their overweigh truck all the way up my concrete driveway and dumped the 300+ box on my front porch rather than the "threshold delivery" that was advertised to be inside our door. The box had significant damage, which the delivery guy brushed off -- he was just rushing us to sign the delivery slip so he could leave. When we opened the box, we found the back of the machine had a sizable dent. All still functions well, though, so we kept it as is. Just terrible communication and delivery service all around. ... show more
