  • Corporate greed at it's finest!
Style: NordicTrack Commercial X22i Incline Trea...
Icon fitness, NordicTrack's parent company is a prime example of a company that's only looking to maximize profits and doesn't care about their customers. Their customer service is a hassle and they do everything they can to weesle their way out of being responsible for helping you. After all, what are you gonna do, hire a lawyer and take them to court? Or would you prefer to return the machine and pay exorbitant restocking fees? On top of that they design their equipment to not be compatible with any 3rd party services in order to try forcing you into a $40/mo iFit membership. It's only $15/mo of you use if it on your phone, tablet, tv, etc, but if you want to use it on the actual machine, it's $40. What's the difference? Well, if it's on the machine they can automatically adjust speed and incline. That's the only difference I can tell though. Now I'll admit, that is a nice feature, but is it worth a reoccurring extra $25/mo? If they just supported Bluetooth FTMS or ANT+ FE-C, you could use 3rd party apps to do that for free!! You can connect your HR strap and earbuds to the machine but that's about it. Want to broadcast speed and incline data to your watch? Nope! Want to sync your workout to a 3rd party like Garmin or Strava? Gotta pay for the iFit membership! Want to watch/listen to a streaming service you pay for? Gotta pay for the iFit membership! The list goes on and on. With their latest update, now you can't even use the non iFit features (manual mode) of the machine without first having to create an account and login on the machine. Presumably so they can spam you and to shove it in your face all the basic functionality "features" you don't get to use without the paid membership. All with the intent of trying to convince you to just submit and pay for the membership. The only people I would recommend this machine to is someone who is completely sold on the 40% incline. If that's a deal breaking feature, then I don't think there are any other options. If that's not you, do yourself a favor and buy a machine from another company. Learn from my pain and save yourself the trouble!! ... show more

  • Hot garbage
Style: NordicTrack Commercial X32i Incline Trea...
The unit is really poorly designed, both from a physical and software point of view. Physically, you absolutely need two people to assemble it. Some of the pieces are assembled in a way that you need someone holding the item from the front while someone fiddles with screws in the back. The fit of the pieces is garbage. Some of the screw threads in the receivers strip out some of the screws. The plastic panels are brittle and held into place with 2 mm tabs that are inadequate for the job. It's like they literally spared every expense. It took forever to download the software on a 150mps connection. Then the iFit membership card included in the box DIDN'T WORK. After sitting on hold for an extended amount of time, the rep came on and said that they don't use that style of authorization or card any more and that was the problem. This is a machine that arrived 3 days earlier. SHOULD the software grace you by working, it's ... ok. When it doesn't work - ours bricked itself after two weeks... yay - you have to reset the machine and redownload everything. There are no guides in the software that say what it's doing. It just has a pulsing logo. We watched the logo pulse for 20 minutes, wondering whether it was doing something or if it was hung again. Restarted two more times and it decided to boot. Yay. Then you've got to redo your iFit account info. It asks for a credit card number and if you are like, whoa, I've already paid, abort, it says "Are you sure you don't want to use the machine with WiFi and the iFit app?" My wife was finally annoyed and hit yes, after which, her account showed up. When doing an update, the software says "Close" at the bottom. But there's no info on whether that will STOP the download or if it will do it in the background while you work out. So you stare at the machine as it painfully downloads each individual bit over the course of a lifetime while feeling like you've made some really bad life choices, such as investing in a NordicTrack treadmill instead of any number of clearly superior options. Stay away from this hot garbage. ... show more

  • Expensive, great video programming, many problems
Style: NordicTrack Commercial X22i Incline Trea...
I love the video programming on the NordicTrack -- I lost 25% of my bodyweight in short order and had a great time running all over the world in exotic locales. The equipment is awesome when it works, but I wisely bought the extended warranty. After five service calls in 2.5 years, the frame cracked. Supposedly they're going to give me a credit to get a replacement one, but it's been a huge hassle. Had I spent this much but not literally changed the direction of my life (240->180, climbed Kilimanjaro), I would've felt cheated. ... show more

  • Unreliable, bad warranty and customer service.
Style: NordicTrack Commercial X32i Incline Trea...
I bought this treadmill directly from the manufacturer and it worked for a month before developing issues. Then after a two year back and forth, they finally agreed to replace the machine with a lower model that had poor machining and wouldn't even go together properly (x24). The likelihood that your machine works properly is thin. The chances that you'll have issues with the warranty are greater. I would not buy this machine unless you want to spend years trying to get your money back. It's unreliable and if you complain on social media about it, they will immediately block you. ... show more
