Very clever! This design works exactly as it's intended to. The screw holes match perfectly with my Ring Battery Doorbell Plus model. They included an extra sticky pad, and all the hardware (screws) needed to securely attach your doorbell to the plate. The adhesive is STRONG, so measure twice and make sure it's exactly where you want it before you commit to sticking it. This item is marketed as being good for apartment renters who have landlords that prohibit screw holes. But, because the adhesive is very aggressive, it may peel paint or mar finished surfaces, or leave behind sticky residue. (Every solution has a downside... just be aware.) TIP: Place the mounting plate on the wall/door before attaching the doorbell. This will allow you to press the plate throughout the width and height of the sticky pad area for a good contact.

I really like this no-drill doorbell mount because I have a door where I cannot drill but want to use the Ring doorbell. This mount is compatible with a wide variety of Ring doorbell models and it has specific instructions as well as the tools required for any and all of these models. I found the mount was a perfect fit and I love that it comes with a spare adhesive in case it loses stickiness and starts to fall off. It was such an easy installation that I wish I had another doorbell to mount, because it is such a great buy! Highly recommend!

I needed to relocate a Ring doorbell and needed a spacer for the installation. Found this mounting plate in my search. It fit my needs perfectly and no drilling required. The adhesive pad covered the entire back of the mounting plate. The pad is made of very strong VHB tape. The mounting plate’s profile matched the gen 2 doorbell. So, the additional thickness is hardly noticeable. Worth the price for the convenience.

I needed HOA approval if I went the wired route, plus I already bought the wireless ring so I was happy to just stick it on the door and not drill. It was easy to install as long as it was lined up right to begin with. Seems to be stuck on my door pretty well so the adhesive seems to be sufficient enough. Happy to not be drilling holes is the bottom line.
