So my instant pot broke a year ago. When I was searching through Amazon for a replacement, I saw this thing and thought "hey, I dont have an air fryer. this does both. Cool!" and ordered it. Keep in mind, at the time, I had absolutely ZERO idea what air fryers really were...or what they were good for. It was on sale, I had a gift card, needed an instant pot, so that's why I got it. Now I've had it for a year, so here's my experience. 1) It works. Yep, does everything it says it will do. Saves counter space. 10/10. I'm absolutely amazed at how often I use the damned thing....and for the most part, it's the air fryer I use. Absolutely 100% did not expect that when I ordered it. 2) It's SUPER easy to clean. Generally speaking just rinse it out & lightly scrub it with a sponge & dish soap...good to go. If you forget about it and open it up to a surprise a week later? No problem. Soak it for an hour in hot water then throw it in the dishwasher, all good. Now I have absolutely no basis for comparison because this is the only air fryer I've ever used, so I have no idea how well the traditional ones work....but it does a good job as far as I can tell. Chicken wings turn out crispy, does a great job at reheating things, etc. Completely satisfied. 3) Build Quality. So for reference Ive had it for a year, and use it REGULARLY. 3 or 4 times a week w/ main dishes, reheating, cooking sides, etc...both air frying and pressure cooking. Fried wings, bone broth, the works. This thing gets a workout. Knock on wood, but it's showing zero signs of wear. None. I'm not the kindest of users, either. It's solid. 10 of 10. Now for some cons (which are pretty nitpicky to be honest): 1) The pressure cooker. Having a second lid to store is annoying. It's not really a design flaw (though I think InstantPot makes one that does the same thing, but you dont have to use a separate unattached lid for pressure cooking), but just annoying to have to keep it somewhere. 2) Again, pressure cooker. The lid, for me anyway, doesnt hands-off automatically seal. If I just leave it to it's own devices it'll get to a certain pressure point and just hiss...have to let it pressure up and then press down on the lid for it to seal properly. I'm not sure if it's user error, a defect, or a design flaw...but that's what mine does. Just a slight nuisance though, no big deal as long as you dont forget to check it 5 or 6 minutes after you close the lid and start the pressure. Works great once that initial seal happens. 3) Size. This one is both good and bad. The device is small. Honestly for my wife and I, the size is perfect to cook pretty much anything we want in a proper portion size for two. But if we are cooking for more than two, it's just not big enough some of the time. Wish I'd bought the larger model. If you are only ever going to cook for one or two people? This is your huckleberry. If you cook for more than 2 regularly, it isnt. Get the larger model. I'm quite satisfied with this purchase. Really my only regret is I didnt get the next size up. Of course now I'm shopping for a stand alone air fryer, mostly because Ive found I frequently could use more than one of them at once.

I’ve had my Foodi for several months and I still keep discovering new features that I haven’t tried. The air fryer has helped cut down on the amount of grease my family consumes. I had never used a pressure cooker in my life, but this one is so easy. Cleanup is quick. I love my Foodi!!

I bought this for my husband. He doesn't speak a lot of English and I didn't even think about that. I absolutely do not cook. I thought great a big appliance taking up counter space. People listen carefully, this product is genius. I was intimidated at first. I had to do some experimenting but you quickly get the hang of it. I need to suggest you experiment with the cook time in the receipts altitude plays a big factor in cooking. But I rave about this absolutely fantastic machine. Every kitchen should have one. I am cooking all the time. Easy clean up. Healthy cooking. The food you can prepare in this is endless. Don't hesitate or have any doubts. You won't regret getting this.

Bought this for my neighbor friend. She loved the features like pressure cooking and browning. She bragged about the convenience and I can attest to the awesome resuts. Versatility is pretty incredible. This thing can cook everything from steamed rice to tender pressure cooked pinto beans. From baking a cake to fall off the bone ribs. One of our favorites were bbq ribs because the pressure cook feature pushed the rubs and sauce flavors deep into the meat. Use the instructions because cooking times are vastly reduced. But safety features assure you you can't be dangerous unless you defeat them on purpose. Push button controls are pretty simple to master. The digital readout is large print so us half blind old people can make it out. Cleanup is pretty basic. The pan comes out and eveything else can be wiped down. The only ding on this product is the space required to store it. The browning lid flips up to allow the pressure lid but doesn't detach. So you're either storing the pressure lid beside the unit or on the unit with the browning lid flipped up.

In the last two years, I've been through 3 Instant Pots. The fuses blew every time, sometimes within days, but no longer than a week or so. So no more Instant Pots for me! But I still wanted an electric pressure cooker, and I happened upon this Ninja! Glad I did -- this thing does everything except open my garage door. I like the fact that I can just place the ingredients inside and walk away while I continue to conduct my life and I'm assured of perfect results nearly every time. Some air crisp and baking functions require very little monitoring. Just check for doneness and brownness. It's a simple as opening the lid and looking at it. If it's golden brown to your liking, take it out. If not, it's ready a scant few minutes later. I can't even do that over the stove, which thankfully I don't have to do anymore. Technically, I can prepare an entire meal with the push of one button. I've not tried it yet, but it's nice to know that I can. Only one pot to wash, plus a couple of plates and stuff. What's not to like about that? In fact, I liked it so much, I went out and bought another one just tonight. This one is the 6.5 version instead of the 5 qt version, which I ordered here. I'll keep my deep-fryer although I won't be using it as much going forward. Sometimes I'd enjoy a piece of greasy fried fish or chicken, which is one of the few things the Ninja Foodi can't do. Otherwise, this thing is amazing. I've only used my stove once since acquiring it in November. Now that I have two Foodi's, that event will become far rarer. If you don't have one, you really should get one.
