After four years living in our new home which had an older kitchen, and me hating the oven, I saw our friends using an Air Fryer for everything. My husband loved our Breville Toaster Oven we have and it has been great but I wanted something more. His complaint was he enjoyed his toast every day and an air fryer to him did not spell toast. Christmas was fast approaching and I just knew my request was a maybe so taking things into my own hands, I ordered an Air Fryer. When it arrived my sweet husband set it up and was going to surprise me. Thank goodness I looked at it first. It was smaller than our microwave. I knew I had not done may homework well enough and no way was it going to cook a pizza. Back it went. Studying every review for many brands, I looked up comparison charts and then announced we were getting this Ninja Air Fryer. After presenting the research I had done on the many models and makes, we together ordered this Ninja French Door model. This appliance has the French doors and they open together making it so easy to be one handed, loading chicken or anything else. Unwrapping the air fryer was like Christmas all over again. It comes so well packed and with each paper to unwrap comes another feature. It was so exciting to see each new piece imagining what the element would prepare for us. My photographs will show you up close the quality of packing and details of the fryer. By the time I thought about pictures, we had already induldged so the plate looks a little empty! Now, let me tell you about the chicken. I first tried out chicken wings. Great appetizer to set on the table? Not a chance! These were so good, they never made it to the table and dinner did not move forward. It was the best fried chicken I had ever had without deep fried chicken in grease! All we did was to rinse the wings, pat dry, season with salt and pepper, and drop them into a zip lock bag with corn starch. Shake them around to coat them evenly and into the air fryer with space around each wing. That’s it! I was raised in the deep south where fried chicken and corn bread were a weekly staple. The very next day my husband went back to the store and bought the value pack of chicken wings. He wanted to try the larger wings whole. They took longer to cook but they were as crispy. I also wanted to buy the boneless skinless chicken breast and slice them like tenders. These should have been breaded. The skin on the wings were better equipped to crisp up easier but still heavily. While the chicken was cooking, what better than fried potatoes with chicken and white pepper gravy to dip it all in? Onward to another course to add to our not dinner! Oh my! The potatoes were amazing. They were so good we took a plate full to our neighbor who was not feeling like eating anything. She only lives five minutes away and she called before my husband returned and had eaten all but one! So, potato wedges we’re next to try. And honey roasted carrots. The cookbook offers a one pan meal with a protein and vegetables roasted. Oh my gosh! Baking corn bread was another find. Our pizza was too large as it was rectangular but we will do it again smaller or round. Next we tried the Carne Asada recipe in the cookbook that came with the air fryer. I had never cooked flank steak. The marinade they have in this recipe is crucial. A tough cut of meat was as tender as any filet mignon! We did cook it about three minutes longer to sear it darker. So far nothing is not just wonderful. Every night we just try something different. I cannot tell you how long its been since we have had so much fun playing with recipes to cook in our oven! This air fryer has brought life back to the kitchen. I do wish it were larger but it does fine for the two of us and with planning, an easy way to prepare many dishes for company. Enjoy this oven we believe from our results, and comparing its to other brands with our friends, surpasses any other. One last thing. We are bad at buying new gadgets and they end up on a wire rack stored in the garage, used only once. This unit is attractive, fits nicely on the counter, takes up less room than our toaster oven, works far better than the conventional oven, cleans easily, and a joy to own. Oh, that toast my husband was concerned about…he makes every day in the air fryer and its better than any toaster we have ever used, or even the toaster oven we now have in a mini upstairs kitchen. I’ve tried many air fryers before, but this one is on another level. I honestly can’t live without it now. I barely use my regular oven anymore because I cook almost everything in this Ninja oven. It cooks evenly, heats up fast, and the results come out amazing every time. From pizza and bread to pastries and air frying, everything turns out delicious. The French doors also make it look modern and safe very easy to use and easy to clean. Definitely one of the best kitchen appliances I’ve ever bought.

Works pretty well! Cooks the food thoroughly hot but you have to watch the temperature. If you don’t like your salmon too overly cooked too done; just watch and gauge your fish. You can see how you want your salmon done. Adjust the time by maybe 3 minutes less. It toasts the bagels really well. Play and try cooking the foods you like a few times and you’ll get the hang of adjusting temperatures. I like the light in the oven. You can see your food if it’s done or too done . Then you can stop cooking if you feel the food loooks done. The size is good! Not too bulky! Buttons are easy to use!

Love this thing. As soon as I saw ninja release this model I was hooked. I don't have allot of extra counter space so needed something the same size as my kitchen aid oven. The double doors open together with 1 hand and the light turns on when you do. I wanted an air fryer but this does way more. 10 different settings from air roast to dehydrate. I don't have to turn on my oven and wait. Heats up quickly and very easy to clean afterwards. Seems like this will hold up get nicely and well worth the money.

One feature AI got wrong that was very high on my list of priorities was the “cool touch “ exterior. It DOES NOT have a cool touch exterior. The French door handles ARE cool touch. I would have given it 5 stars except for this incorrect info (as AI is still learning). Everything else works very well for my intended use as an all purpose compact appliance in an RV. I place it on the steel grates over the gas stove “eyes” to prevent any issues with the heat of the unit damaging my counter tops and to be able to use the cooktop’s exhaust fan. There is plenty of clearance re heat from sides and back of Ninja so no problems with damage to RV & less concern re fire though it is never left unattended. I have used all features. LOVE the French door’s one hand operation. The 90 second preheat is awesome but took some getting used to. I have baked muffins, casseroles, pizza & even used the bake function to sauté veggies; air fried jalapeño poppers & mini pizza pockets & toasted bread. I have used it almost exclusively since it arrived; even “roasted” hot dogs and hamburgers. I purchased 9”x9” perforated parchment paper for the “pan”. I have not used one yet. The browning elements are great. I love the interior light that comes on at the touch of a button to check progress of cooking and also automatically about 90 (?) seconds before the oven ends the cycle you set it for. It is very easy to set the functions and timer. I do not find the Ninja to be overly noisy. I do it anyway but, honestly, have never really “needed” to clean the interior. It is quite easy to just give the interior and exterior a quick wipe down AFTER it has COOLED with each use. I chose stainless steel exterior which I am used to in my home & habitually wipe the exterior, door handles & glass doors after use. It is not necessary though. The manual with it advises you CAN use aluminum foil without harm to the unit. Almost all info I searched re this practice states it will damage the unit. I have lined the baking pan that is part of the included accessories with aluminum foil almost every use to make clean up easier. I have cooked meals in aluminum foil “pouches”. So far I have seen no evidence of damage. I use regular “pot holders” & did not need to purchase any different kitchen utensils than I have. I have had to adjust some of the cook times on my recipes because the Ninja gets hot quickly and cooks quickly. That leaves some dense casseroles needing an extra few minutes to cook completely. Overall, I am well pleased with the Ninja’s functions, features & performance. I think it is cute that it’s display reads “hello” when you power it on and “bye” when you turn it off, lol!! Enjoy your purchase, it has served our needs well. It might be few dollars more than smaller units with less features but, I have owned other Ninja products & find it worth the few extra dollars in a head to head comparison of features. PS: Alexa can save you LOTS of time in comparing features & even look to see if there are any specials that will save money on your purchase!!

Looks great on the counter and does a great job. I really like the fact that you can open both doors with one hand, as they work together. Toasts very evenly. Tall enough to get larger dishes in it. I previously had the Ninja flip toaster oven, which I really liked…but I was limited on how tall an item I could bake in it. This one is exactly what I wanted. I checked many reviews before purchasing, and this oven was very highly rated.

Got this to replace an existing mini oven. Its convenient because they preheat much faster and more efficient for cooking small meals. Ive had this one for over 6 months and have zero complaints. I like the little French Door design. Its quiet and a good value.
