  • More than an air fryer - bakes, roasts, grills... From Tofu to Tater Tots. Low Calorie Cooking.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine. I didn't think I would - but I do. I don't like owning a lot of kitchen devices as I have a small kitchen. Additionally, I think people often buy the newest fad and then the machine doesn't get used. I limit myself to the bare necessities in kitchen appliances. I researched this before purchasing and figure I could return it if it didn't perform well. This design is totally different from other air fryers. I purchased an air fryer for a friend and while the thing worked it was bulky and I couldn't figure out how one could actually clean the thing out. I think the oil and debris must accumulate or the high temps sanitizes the machine. I never wanted to own one until I saw how Ninja turned the traditional air fryer design upside down. Unlike all the other air fryers, this design it so very easy to clean because the cooking element of the sits on top of the glass containers. The bowls can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. Not sure if they are safe for microwave or not. This is so more than an air fryer as it bakes, roasts, grills, etc. Ninja doesn't advertise the machine as a low calorie way to cook but it should. Any fats from the meat one cooks or oils added to the food ends up at the bottom of the container. Saves lots of calories when using the grill function. The two glass dishes are incredibly easy to clean. One would think with the high temperatures that food would bake on and be difficult to remove. It isn't. This glass is somehow different and cleaning is easy and simple. Mostly just with soapy water and a sponge unless especially dirty then scrubber side of the sponge might be needed. Cooking has been so very easy. Since it take relative little time to cook say chicken thighs (10 min), I can cook them and then cook some vegetables (5 min) without the meats getting cold. Or I've been able to partially cook some baby potatoes and then stack chicken on top and finish cooking both together. I've cooked everything from tater tots to marinated tofu and everything has turned out great. As with everything there is a learning curve in determining how long to cook something. When cooked correctly chicken thighs have turned out crispy on the outside while still moist. I cook marinated tofu to be used as either a high protein snack or to be later added to a stir fry. Believe it or not my dog absolutely loves the tofu I have been making in this Ninja. I mean she LOVES it. I have been using this machine several times a week which is highly unusual for my don't-really-like-to-cook cooking style. The smaller bowl is the right size for one to two people, while the larger bowl is sized for larger portions. With the larger bowl I was able to cook two Cornish Hens. Their picture showing it cooking a whole chicken is wishful thinking IMO. I don't think possible unless that is a very small chicken. I find grilled vegetables come out great, as do baked potatoes and roasted mini potatoes. Grilled eggplant and peppers have been very tasty. I have attempted a sort of stir fry but since vegetables require different cooking times I found that sequencing the vegetables too time consuming. No fault of the machine as I was asking it to do something it was not designed to do. I tried their tater tot recipe and it was pretty good. I keep trying to create new ways to use this machine and know I have not yet explored its limits. Sometimes if I put too much food into the smaller bowl I will get foods slightly stuck onto the heating element. But never had any problem removing that food. I have not tried baking cakes or anything of that sort but plan to try sometime. This is one of the most versatile machine I have come across and the reason I would buy it again. I've started to enjoy cooking again due to this little machine. ... show more

  • Great product on multiple levels.
Much easier to use than other air fryers. Easy to clean and store. Versatile as it also bakes and recrisps. Glass dishes can serve, be frozen and washed in dishwasher. Has large and small capacities. The large size may still be small for large families but so are most other air fryers. The heat element is unique construction and is protected so it does not gunk up like other products which are impossible to clean and are fire hazard. ... show more

  • Don’t sleep on the ninja crispi!!
I wish I would’ve known about this before I bought the eight in one ninja cooker. This thing is amazing and it definitely has a better air fry than the eight in one. You do have to be careful with baking cookies and watch them very closely but everything that I’ve made so far has been delicious and I love that I don’t have to turn on my oven to bake meals during the summer.. it works really great. It’s so easy to use and it comes with instructions although it’s pretty common sense. I did have to put a plate on my counter for the lid once I was done cooking and in between just because I was afraid it’s so hot that I didn’t wanna mess up my counter. I love that you really don’t need oil to cook with unless you want to get that actual fried feeling but even then you’re not using a lot of oil. And I think it helps the aroma of the food fill my house more than my oven would so it smelled really good when I was cooking. I love that the containers can be used for Tupperware. That is a huge plus. It’s also pretty easy to store. A couple of things that I saw in the reviews that should’ve been common sense, but I’m gonna put them here for you. One this is not for baking cakes, even though it has a bake mode on it. You cannot bake cake cakes in this thing. it is way too hot and too close. You’re gonna end up with a burnt top and a mushy inside. Do not bake liquidy things in this ninja crispi. Also the containers that you’re baking with and using for Tupperware, these are actually glass. Do not put them in cold water after you’re done to soak them. Don’t put anything cold in them after you’re done. Make sure to cool them down almost all the way before you put any drastic change in temperature in the containers that way you don’t break them. I love this thing. I definitely would recommend anybody else getting one. You will absolutely love it. It will be used constantly in your home. I guarantee it. ... show more

  • BEST AIR FRYER !!!
I had decided and declared that I would never have an air fryer because of the amount of counter space needed, the largeness of the machine, the NOISE they make when cooking, and the GREASY machine with use. No thanks!! HOWEVER, I had kids/grandkids coming and knew an air fryer would come in handy so I decided to take a look - found this and thought WOW - this new generation is nothing like the old air fryers ... the glass dishes, the AMAZING easy to use, takes up no space, and QUIET ... SO EASY to clean and just put in dishwasher. I NOW USE my air fryer ALL THE TIME I hardly use my stove and never my oven!!! Very good meals are ready in 20-30 minutes! ... show more

  • Ninja nailed it again!
I wanted to give it some months before I review to make sure it authentic. This air fryer has been incredible. Easy to clean whether it’s by hand or by dishwasher. The food cooks amazing! You name it, you can cook it in this air fryer. We traveled last weekend and I was able to pack this up and go. It is awesome. I also bought an extra 4 qt container in case I cook in batches so I don’t have to clean one and then use it over again. I could just grab the extra one. Simple instructions and recipes, amazing performance no odor either. I love using max crisp at the end to finish it just right! ... show more

  • Kudos for the Glass baking dish!!
The unit worked great! I had to return bc the crisper plate would not sit flat/straight in the baking dish. They offered to give me $40off to keep it!! I said no because you need the crisper plate to air fry!! Ultimately I called ninja and they offered me a 20% discount on the newest model Ninja Crispi Pro. I will unfortunately be paying about $50 more in total, but the thought I love the unit it air fry’s great and I guess I’ll find out if it holds up!! I do think the glass baking dish is such a better alternative to the teflon coated air fryer!! Easy clean and healthier!! Happy air frying!! ... show more

  • Great time saver.
Where has this been all my life!!!! I resisted the whole Air Fryer trend during the Pandemic because I did not see a need and the last thing I needed was some huge thing taking up room that I cant cook a full meal in. The Ninja Crispi will not go the way of the Crockpot, novelty wore off and I can make food faster and better in the Tagine. My husband and I have different diets, Im keto/carnivore and my husband is an omnivore, the Crispi has solved the issue of my food getting cold while I wait for his sides to cook, made cleaning the kitchen after dinner a breeze, and if he doesnt eat it all, the glass containers can be put in the fridge, they come with lids. It does come with a temp guide and recipe book, but depending on what you are cooking its not always accurate. Frozen chips come out great if you pre heat on recrisp, bake for 10min, and Max Crisp for 10, with a liner and removing the crispi tray, frozen veg comes out crisp and not soggy, add olive oil and spices and its almost as good as stir fry without a pan to clean-5min on airfry, 5-8 on max crisp. You have several temp options to choose from. The only thing it falls down on is large pieces of meat, dont use this for a T-bone, its ok but not as tender as I like it and it takes just as long as the roaster in my oven. Chicken is ok, but you can only do 3-4 thighs at a time, easier to oven bake 15 at a time. Fish again ok, to me the salmon I tried to cook was a little too dry for my taste and again I could only cook 2 small pieces. Burgers do well, I can cook one large one for my meal and not need to babysit it, freeing me up to cook my husbands dinner. Sausages and bacon also does well on bake and then airfry, you do need to lift the lid and check to prevent over cooking. I highley recommend buying a splatter screen for the heating element, because unless you want to get a screw driver and take the top apart its impossible to clean. Over all I recommend the Ninja Crispi as a time saver for everyday side dishes, if you have different diet needs, you are a vegitarian/vegan, and if you are only cooking for one. Pros: Glass bowls no basket, easy to clean and store. The top fits on top of the glass bowls so it wont take up all of the counter real estate, works well for reheating leftovers, multiple temps to choose from, works well for having sides come out with the meat, works great for single keto cooking, reduces the amount of pots and pans in the dishwasher, you can hand wash the bowls or buy paper liners and toss them in the trash. Cons: No good for cooking large quantities, or large portions/sizes of meat, fish, chicken, pork. Top is difficult to clean splatters and you need to purchase a splatter guard if baked in grease bothers you. You will need to keep an eye on frozen potatoes, veg, cheese sticks and fish, and you will need to finese the the temps to prevent over cooking. ... show more
