5 years review. Purchased in 2019 (then only $259 vs $479 now). My reviews may be long winded but they are honest - no payment, discount, refund or gratis product given in exchange for a review. After reading other people's reviews all I can say is mattress comfort is pretty subjective because I think this one is extremely comfortable. I feel anu negative reviews are just outliers. I'm 5 years in and like it even more now than when I purchased it in 2019. The price increase from $259 to $479 since then is telling. That's an 85% increase, which is still huge even when accounting for inflation. So sales must be strong enough to withstand it and I would still buy it today at that much higher price. I should mention that I originally purchased this as an inexpensive mattress for my spare bedroom. Where it was hardly used for 3 years. Then after moving and downsizing required me to merge the spare bedroom with the media room that I frequently fell asleep in. Eventually I found myself sleeping in the spare/media room instead of my bedroom because the mattress is so dang comfortable. I ended up finally just swapping my $1000 plush mattress with this $259 mattress in my bedroom and absolutely love it. It's like sleeping on a cloud with no pressure points. NOTE - I do have a 3 inch memory foam topper on the mattress. The topper was added back when it was in the spare bedroom as a way to "park" the unused topper without taking up closet space. While the mattress is perfectly comfortable on it's own, I opted to keep the topper on it because it becomes like an extension of the foam mattress without a sense of being separate, unlike when it was on my traditional plush mattress. Plus, the extra 3 inches helps make my deep pocket sheets fit better. The good thing these toppers are relatively inexpensive if you catch an off-brand one on sale or coupon here on the m'zon. That's my recommendation if your budget will allow. But you can always buy that later after you sleep on it by itself and make your own evaluation. Lastly, I must say that although I've had a couple of serious and unexcusable problems with purchasing from Ashley Signature stores, I still like their furniture and quality. But I wouldn't step foot in a store if I was being paid to, so it's nice having a way to purchase something I may still actually want to have without needing to buy from their stores. Just mentioning to the legions of others who might be averse to the brand because of this.

Just received. It came rolled up and fluffed up nicely. All of 13 inches high. It is much softer than I thought it would be. Not at all firm. Will work in the guest bedroom nicely. Queen size.

I should have known from the two young, strong-looking gentlemen who carried this mattress to my door and the multiple "team lift" stamps on the box that this was not a project for one person, but I soldiered on by myself anyways. The first riddle posed to me by this mattress was: how to open the box? As someone who orders many packages from Amazon, I can easily rip open cardboard boxes. But this box proved to be un-rippable from any side. I realized at this point that the "team" advertised on the side of the box was not just for lifting, but also for consulting on how to open this thing. The box advised not to use a box cutter, but after spending several minutes wrestling with it and praying to God for the finger strength needed to break through steel disguised as cardboard, I gave up and decided to get the scissors out and carefully cut the box open. This worked. Then came the next riddle: how to get it out of the box? After several tries, I found the best way was to fashion my technique after pro wrestlers and hug the mattress to my body and lean back while pushing the box away with my feet. You will need to re-position yourself as the mattress starts to release from the box. The mattress looks like a plastic-wrapped taquito at this point. I put it on the bed frame and, learning my lesson from the box, started to carefully cut the plastic away. I would advise you that before you start this process, take care of any task you need to first (checking on your children, returning a phone call, etc) because once the plastic has its first cut, it quickly becomes a race with the Devil as the mattress starts to expand. Within minutes, the mattress already started to take shape. That being said, it is already very soft and plush (not even had it an hour) and seems like it will work on my platform frame. And thank God for that, because I don't know how I would roll it back up and return it if it didn't.

The past 8 years Ive went through 3 beds each time I tried to save money buying a bed under $200. I have bad back pain and it stems from not getting adequate sleep and having due to being uncomfortable. I bought the "Signature Design by Ashley Limited Edition 11 Inch Pillowtop Hybrid Mattress". After 3 days I see a huge result when waking up sleep is a huge part of your health I advise you just spend the money and get a good bed that will last and I honestly could not afford to spend what i ended up paying but I wasnt going to gamble paying for another 200 dollar mattress only for it to fail my back. The model I purchased had a 11" "Firm" or "Plush" choice of hybrid mattress for $369 but there was a third choice and that was the 13" "PillowTop" version for $433. I spent the extra and bought the pillowtop version and spent the extra money and after 3 days theres a huge difference when waking up Im not tossing and turning Im just so happy that so far its working out. I honestly dont write reviews even if a product is good I usually dont leave a review but Im leaving this here for people who are in a similar situation and I cant vouch for any other model but I know The model I got is definitely worth it. The only question is for how long? Only time will tell and I will give Update in future. I prefer Plush over firm and although this is supposed to land in the middle at first it feels firm and i was concerned but you will be amazed how fast your body adapts. First thing i did was watch a movie and I knew half way during the movie that I was gonna be sleeping well that night. I didnt wake up exhausted and after laying down for 6 hours I woke up energized as if I had slept for 10 hours. I just pray it lasts a long time Ill pay it off within 3 months cuz i used my credit card. GOD BLESS
