I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine. I didn't think I would - but I do. I don't like owning a lot of kitchen devices as I have a small kitchen. Additionally, I think people often buy the newest fad and then the machine doesn't get used. I limit myself to the bare necessities in kitchen appliances. I researched this before purchasing and figure I could return it if it didn't perform well. This design is totally different from other air fryers. I purchased an air fryer for a friend and while the thing worked it was bulky and I couldn't figure out how one could actually clean the thing out. I think the oil and debris must accumulate or the high temps sanitizes the machine. I never wanted to own one until I saw how Ninja turned the traditional air fryer design upside down. Unlike all the other air fryers, this design it so very easy to clean because the cooking element of the sits on top of the glass containers. The bowls can be stored in the freezer or refrigerator. Not sure if they are safe for microwave or not. This is so more than an air fryer as it bakes, roasts, grills, etc. Ninja doesn't advertise the machine as a low calorie way to cook but it should. Any fats from the meat one cooks or oils added to the food ends up at the bottom of the container. Saves lots of calories when using the grill function. The two glass dishes are incredibly easy to clean. One would think with the high temperatures that food would bake on and be difficult to remove. It isn't. This glass is somehow different and cleaning is easy and simple. Mostly just with soapy water and a sponge unless especially dirty then scrubber side of the sponge might be needed. Cooking has been so very easy. Since it take relative little time to cook say chicken thighs (10 min), I can cook them and then cook some vegetables (5 min) without the meats getting cold. Or I've been able to partially cook some baby potatoes and then stack chicken on top and finish cooking both together. I've cooked everything from tater tots to marinated tofu and everything has turned out great. As with everything there is a learning curve in determining how long to cook something. When cooked correctly chicken thighs have turned out crispy on the outside while still moist. I cook marinated tofu to be used as either a high protein snack or to be later added to a stir fry. Believe it or not my dog absolutely loves the tofu I have been making in this Ninja. I mean she LOVES it. I have been using this machine several times a week which is highly unusual for my don't-really-like-to-cook cooking style. The smaller bowl is the right size for one to two people, while the larger bowl is sized for larger portions. With the larger bowl I was able to cook two Cornish Hens. Their picture showing it cooking a whole chicken is wishful thinking IMO. I don't think possible unless that is a very small chicken. I find grilled vegetables come out great, as do baked potatoes and roasted mini potatoes. Grilled eggplant and peppers have been very tasty. I have attempted a sort of stir fry but since vegetables require different cooking times I found that sequencing the vegetables too time consuming. No fault of the machine as I was asking it to do something it was not designed to do. I tried their tater tot recipe and it was pretty good. I keep trying to create new ways to use this machine and know I have not yet explored its limits. Sometimes if I put too much food into the smaller bowl I will get foods slightly stuck onto the heating element. But never had any problem removing that food. I have not tried baking cakes or anything of that sort but plan to try sometime. This is one of the most versatile machine I have come across and the reason I would buy it again. Works great. The size is awesome. I can pick up the top with one hand. I had trouble picking up the lid with my instapot 14 n 1. And this ninja takes up less space. I keep my instapot in another area now. Keep my ninja crispi in my cupboard!!!! It all fits in one of the three shelves in my upper kitchen cupboard! Game changer for me. I have used it everyday since I bought it. I made some jackfruit inspired birria slash fajitas in it. It crisps better than my instapot. Easy to clean. Performance is on point. Shockingly a chicken can fit! Lol. Cool kitchen helper. And, my.son in law got one for work. He's a pinball guy and is mobile all day for work delivering and fixing pinball machines. He can literally use this on the go. So I got one for how compact the ninja crispi is. I am so short that I would always burn my for arms on the instapot. I am so happy! No more burns!!!!! Cooks everything so well. Be sure to test out how crispy you want things. It can literally cook in just a few minutes if you make hashbrowns. Cutting crispy cooking time in half! Much easier to use than other air fryers. Easy to clean and store. Versatile as it also bakes and recrisps. Glass dishes can serve, be frozen and washed in dishwasher. Has large and small capacities. The large size may still be small for large families but so are most other air fryers. The heat element is unique construction and is protected so it does not gunk up like other products which are impossible to clean and are fire hazard. ... show more

I wish I would’ve known about this before I bought the eight in one ninja cooker. This thing is amazing and it definitely has a better air fry than the eight in one. You do have to be careful with baking cookies and watch them very closely but everything that I’ve made so far has been delicious and I love that I don’t have to turn on my oven to bake meals during the summer.. it works really great. It’s so easy to use and it comes with instructions although it’s pretty common sense. I did have to put a plate on my counter for the lid once I was done cooking and in between just because I was afraid it’s so hot that I didn’t wanna mess up my counter. I love that you really don’t need oil to cook with unless you want to get that actual fried feeling but even then you’re not using a lot of oil. And I think it helps the aroma of the food fill my house more than my oven would so it smelled really good when I was cooking. I love that the containers can be used for Tupperware. That is a huge plus. It’s also pretty easy to store. A couple of things that I saw in the reviews that should’ve been common sense, but I’m gonna put them here for you. One this is not for baking cakes, even though it has a bake mode on it. You cannot bake cake cakes in this thing. it is way too hot and too close. You’re gonna end up with a burnt top and a mushy inside. Do not bake liquidy things in this ninja crispi. Also the containers that you’re baking with and using for Tupperware, these are actually glass. Do not put them in cold water after you’re done to soak them. Don’t put anything cold in them after you’re done. Make sure to cool them down almost all the way before you put any drastic change in temperature in the containers that way you don’t break them. I had decided and declared that I would never have an air fryer because of the amount of counter space needed, the largeness of the machine, the NOISE they make when cooking, and the GREASY machine with use. No thanks!! HOWEVER, I had kids/grandkids coming and knew an air fryer would come in handy so I decided to take a look - found this and thought WOW - this new generation is nothing like the old air fryers ... the glass dishes, the AMAZING easy to use, takes up no space, and QUIET ... SO EASY to clean and just put in dishwasher. I NOW USE my air fryer ALL THE TIME I hardly use my stove and never my oven!!! Very good meals are ready in 20-30 minutes! ... show more

I like that you can see the food cooking for when to turn food over or do some mixing or decide it's done. I like that it's glass and there's no off gassing of terrible toxic fumes. I like that the buttons are super simple. Pick a mode, add minutes, hit start. I like that it's so easy to clean and you don't have to worry about rubbing off toxic lining. I wanted to give it some months before I review to make sure it authentic. This air fryer has been incredible. Easy to clean whether it’s by hand or by dishwasher. The food cooks amazing! You name it, you can cook it in this air fryer. We traveled last weekend and I was able to pack this up and go. It is awesome. I also bought an extra 4 qt container in case I cook in batches so I don’t have to clean one and then use it over again. I could just grab the extra one. Simple instructions and recipes, amazing performance no odor either. I love using max crisp at the end to finish it just right! ... show more
