I needed to buy another air fryer (my son wanted it) and I loved my first ninja exactly the same as this Ceramic coated one. So I purchased refurbished as it was $40 cheaper.. I love it except I noticed after the first use the top of the unit where there is a silver cover it had cracked. My husband has thrown away the box so I am unable to return it. The air fryer works fine even with the crack so I will give ninja a call just to make sure. But I still would buy it again and again. I have used other friend’s air fryers and I wasn’t impressed. Don’t buy the little oven one for airfrying I have that and only use it to bake and cook toast.. it’s didn’t airfry at all.. no comparison to the other one. ... show more

This not my first Ninja product( I think they are some of the best products for the money.) but this is my first Amazon renewed product. Everything works like new without a scratch on it. The 5.5 quart size is perfect for one or two people. It has a crisp button that uses 450 degree heat to really crisp up fried frozen food. It also fries, bakes, reheats, and dehydrates food. Wasn't sure about this purchase until the first couple times using it. I highly suggest buying the cookbooks for air fryers as they have great recipes and it gives you the timings for cooking foods as you explore things on your own.

I can't tell a bit of difference between the refurbished or new unit. It works just exactly as described and looks exactly like a new one. The only disappointment I have is there's no way to tell when the timer goes off. No bell or sound -- it just turns off, so I just have to time it myself. I'm also not fond of the fact the timer always starts at 20 minutes, so I have to reset everything I cook. So all-in-all, it does a good job and I'm satisfied with the price. ... show more

I’m very impressed with this air fryer as it’s my first one. I have only used my roommates 3 qt. Twice before and noticed now that I had another to compare that : cooking is much more even as well as clean up much easier with this Ninja model . I feel that this Ninja model all though larger capacity was much quieter compared to the only other air fryer I’ve ever used. As a first time Air fryer owner I am glad that I have no regrets in my choice from the many comparable models from other brands.
