On the outside tree at night it’s very pretty. Putting them on the tree was intense. Don’t do what we did and unwrap all the light bundles and then try to put it on the tree. Put the star up and then one by one unwrap the light strings and place them on the tree. I can’t comment on the remote as we didn’t used it. We have another way to turn it in and off. ... show more

Put this out in Early November & it was up into January and it worked great. It has an automatic timer built in, stays on about 6 hours after it turns on, turns itself off, and comes back on at that same time the next day too. Like the variety of the light show, brightness, and presentation.

I really liked this, the colors were beautiful and it made a stunning backdrop to our Christmas scene! But it is a little on the cheap side. The star is made out of what feels like a thin flimsy plastic, and right out of the box one of the light strings didn't work all the time because of something being loose (maybe a wire or not a firm connection). We kept them and used them because they were still gorgeous and I paid a lot less for this than similar units I could get from a box store. So even though one string only came on when the wind blew the right way, we were still happy with it! ... show more
