  • Good PA system for presentantions Good PA system for presentantions
This is a very convenient and easy to use sound system. It has a nice crisp sound and the bass is also good. This can be used for presentations or a house karaoke or dj in small places. Overall good sound quality and it all clips together and looks like a suitcase to make moving and carrying very easy. I bought this with a microphone set recommended from amazon and had a small issue. The bluetooh is linked to the channels 5/6/7/8. So if you use the bluetooth you cannot use any of these lines. I had to buy an xlr to 2,5 jack to be able to connect to any other line. Just make sure if you are connecting microphones make sure connection is an xlr. ... show more

  • Great value Great value
The system is cleverly designed and highly portable. I was impressed with this aspect when I first opened the box. The handle on top makes for an easy one-hand carry. The back side of the control unit has storage for power cords, mic cables, and other accessories. This is a well thought out and handy feature allowing you to carry your whole PA system in one hand without needing a case. The system itself essentially becomes a carrying case. The first time opening the system was a little tricky since the speakers clip tightly to the central amp/control unit. I figured out that pushing the release buttons and giving a quick snatch rather than a steady pull worked well to separate the pieces. I have been presenting in various conferences, seminars, and churches for about 12 years and have been exposed to a variety of PA systems over that time. I ordered this to have a backup option if there was no permanent setup available at the speaking location. After trying it, I think it will fit the bill just perfectly. I used it with my Shure mic and had great results. The system doesn’t come with a mic but since it has Bluetooth connectivity, you can actually download a mic application onto your smartphone and use it as a mic in a pinch. Since there’s a delay when using an app/Bluetooth based mic, it’s much better to have a dedicated mic. It has a 48V phantom power jack so you can even use condenser mics. The Bluetooth connection to my Galaxy S8 was quick and easy. I tested the system with music from my smartphone and was impressed with the volume. It can get much too loud for comfort; I ended up taking it outside to finish testing it. The sound quality ranks very high. A 5 band equalizer gives acoustic flexibility. The system also has preset electronic equalizer options. It has an adjustable subwoofer peak frequency setting that can be set at 63, 80, or 120 Hz. However, it seems that the 8” woofers are tuned slightly more for voice level volume output rather than earthshaking rumbles even at the 63 Hz setting. I brought it back in the house and we are keeping it setup as a Bluetooth home music speaker system. It’s a higher quality than I expected and, given this unit’s price point, it’s also an excellent value. Pros: Loud and clear (at high volumes as well) 48 Volt phantom power for condenser mics Built in Cord storage Adjustable subwoofer peak 63, 80, or 120 Hz Easy one hand carry BT connectivity very simple 5 band EQ + electronic EQ Plays from USB, has audio controls on unit Cons: Clips together too tightly ... show more

  • Plenty of power
This has a lot of power for the money. I like it a lot, I use it for karaoke. The only problem is it uses horn tweeters. I've never met a horn tweeter that I like, they always have resonances that make me cringe, especially with singers. I think they would have been better off to use a good quality 3.5 inch speaker for the highs. It also had to much high base which is typical for a system with 8 inch speakers. Fortunately I have a digital mixer so I was able to come up with five filters to fix it. Now it actually sounds pretty good, even the singers. I also use a sub woofer with it. For me it was a very good value for the money. I got this speaker system, a sub woofer, and a small monitor speaker so the singers can hear the music and themselves, for just over $400. ... show more

  • Size, Quality, Sound. Worth the purchase.
Sound quality for size of room is excellent. Fairly easy to learn controls and inputs. Laptop connects on blue tooth and sound is excellent. Physical size is just right for where it is located in room out of way. Haven't tried microphone inputs and will, as soon as am able to.

  • Simple, Great Sound Quality, Perfect for rooms of 50-100 People.
After doing some price / feature comparisons, I choose to go with this sound system for our Kid's Church space that seats about 50 people. Our space isn't gigantic, so I wanted something small, portable, but still sounded high quality and filled the room when we did video led worship. Once I received the sound system, setup was super simple. Anyone who has ever been around a sound system will find this one straight forward and easy to use. The bluetooth connected right away and super easily with my phone and I was able to play songs straight from my phone through the system and it sounded incredible. This unit has four DLR microphone inputs and two quarter-inch line inputs. There is also a place to connect RCA inputs, which I use to connect to my laptop for music. Sound quality is great all around. I didn't even have to push the volume that high to fill the space with a very full sound with great lows and highs. The unit came with a power cord and two speaker cables, which one cable was a tiny bit glitchy sending sound to one of the speakers, so I traded that out for a higher quality speaker cable, and haven't had any trouble. I recommend augmenting this system with better speaker cables for sure. Otherwise, so easy to use, and simple to set up. Can't recommend this highly enough -- especially if you're looking to fill a smaller space with sound and not break the bank doing it! ... show more

  • UPDATED!!!! (originally 4 stars) Surprisingly good quality (lols, nevermind)
This is the third PA I've purchased made from Pyle (the other two are portable standalone units that can be charged/battery powered. I got a little tired of lugging two of those around for gigs, and I have wanted something like a Fender Passport for a while, and being the cheap guy I am, and having been pretty happy with the quality of the other Pyle gear I've purchased, I figured this was worth a shot. And I am VERY happy with it. It's very portable, loud, and sounds good enough. I especially like that the back of the center unit has storage for mics/cables/cords. Meaning I can just grab this and hit the road, or keep it in my car as a back up for just about any gig. The only complaint I would have is some of knobs/dials don't give the mixer board quite the range you would expect if you're trying to fine tune / equalize your sound. But if I was an audio snob or worried about that, I probably would have just picked a much more expensive unit. For the price, you're going to love this. You can't beat it for the price. Plug in a couple mics, guitars, etc., turn the speakers towards the audience, and you're good to go. I have used this indoor and outdoor. I use it for crowds of 50-100 and it's plenty loud, not even turned up all the way. UPDATE: I liked this so much I purchased a second one. Second one came in with a busted handle where the speaker connect for travel. They handle would just pop out of place and not connect to them. Which kinda sucks seeing how the portability is such a selling point for this unit. I just sent it back and got my money back (opted to go with a different system from a local store). Flash forward a few months, and the first unit I purchased busted on me. Guess where? Yup, the handle. I was carrying it after a gig and it all fell apart at the connection. Sigh. Not protected/ past warranty. I suppose I could still use it for backyard movies and stuff, but certainly not gig quality / portable. Decent product for a while, unfortunately less than stellar manufacturing. ... show more

  • You Get What You Pay For 💲
I've been using a whole fleet of Fender Passport (300w) faithfully for 12 years to run my business. They're solid, durable, simple to operate and portable. They last for years enduring the regular wear and tear of weekly gigs. One finally broke and on Black Friday I found this "deal" for $280. That's almost 1/3 what the Fender costs. I just needed a system that was "good enough" and simple to use and the overwhelming 4.5+ star reviews made this a confident purchase. It arrived today and immediately out of the box is was a Pyle alright. Pyle of poop. The plastic immediately feels thin like a plastic storage bin. The clips that lock the speakers to the amp feel cheap as well. I put it all together to test out and I immediately notice that the face of this thing is unnecessarily overwhelmingly complicated. It's got nobs for the sake of nobs. It's not intuitive at all and I could NOT figure out how to pair a Bluetooth device, which is normally straightforward. So I go to the instructions and they're all in broken poorly worded English. The it hits me: this a cheap Chinese knockoff of a quality sound system. It has an FM radio function that is utterly useless. It has more useless Equalizer sliders and digital effects and nonsense. The appeal of the Fender Passport was it's simplicity and easy of use. Any novice could figure it out. This is the opposite of that. I'm not even sure I received the correct item at this point, it took a long time to arrive as well so I'm guessing it came from China maybe. I'm not saying any of this to knock Chinese products, but this specific item wasn't at all what the reviews made it out to be. I gave it two stars because it's cheap and it works, although the vocal sound quality was subpar. I wouldn't really recommend this sound system for any reason. I was trying to save money and I will just be spending the extra $500 to get a Fender Passport again. ... show more
