Tested the HD with CrystalDiskInfo 7.8.0 TOSHIBA MK5055GSX 500.1 GB Health Status Good Temperature 20 ºC Power On Count 2 count Power On Hours 0 hours The HD is Brand New, and in Good Condition I bought this HD to replace a “Not Good” HD, in a used Dell Latitude hat I Bought Recently. I use Acronis True Image to do the cloning. It is recommended to put the new drive in the laptop first, and connect the old drive via USB. Otherwise you will may not be able to boot from the new cloned drive, at Acronis True Image will apply a bootability fix to the new disk and adjust the boot settings of the target drive to boot from USB. If the new disk is inside the laptop, the boot settings will be automatically adjusted to boot from internal disk. As such, hard disk bays cannot be used for target disks. For example, if you have a target hard disk (i.e. the new disk to which you clone, and from which you intend to boot the machine) in a bay, and not physically inside the laptop, the target hard disk will be unbootable after the cloning. There are more Cloning software, that you can choose, and Clonezilla or . Macrium Reflect 7 are Free. 1. Clonezilla - The free disk imaging and cloning software. 2. This drive was DOA, had to be dead when shipped so the refurbishment process I imagine was take it out of a dead machine, run a alcohol soaked cloth over it to get the dust off and bag and ship it out. My suggestion is test it as soon as you get it so you can return it right away (actually my suggestion is don't buy it).

Upgrading my Dell 2100 Latitude notebook to Windows 10 I knew i'd need more space. 15 minutes the old drive was out and the new drive was in. Installing Windows 10 took a little longer

No Stars! Bought this on April 29 2021. Needed to upgrade space on my Dell laptop. Drive performance was marginal but adequate. Ran for 3 months and suddenly just died on July 27. No way to recover data. Recovery software identifies the drive as "bad". Total waste of money.

Great Hard drive replacement. But You have to go to DISK MANAGEMENT first and activate your drive. Then best to use ACRONIS to clone your faulty disk.
