So far, so good. I have three adult cats and I’ve been following my veterinary’s instruction and have had 4 very large cat litter boxes (one for each cat + 1) up until now. I’ve had to clean these 4 cat litter boxes every single day. I also go through copious amounts of cat litter. I have looked at prices on self cleaning litter boxes and the prices are shocking. I read the reviews for the Neakasa and saw the price was decent compared to the $500-$800 ones. After receiving it, I set it up immediately and all three of my cats thought it was the coolest thing, even my blind cat loved it immediately. My blind cat is extremely curious about all things - so, he has stuck his head in or put his paws up on the litter robot to check it out when it is self-cleaning, it has stopped instantly every time. It has been impressively safe so far. All three cats have used it multiple times now, and I smell nothing. It was easy to set up and get connected, it seems to be made really well. I’ve kept a few of the old cat litter boxes up for the transition period - but I’ve already ordered another self-cleaning litter box so they can have two. This is already making my life a lot easier. I’m using the neakasa litter right now - it is decent & does the job, am going to be ordering probiotic litter made for litter robots from Chewy to try next. Oh, and all three cats are not small - 12 - 15 lbs and they fit just fine. Update: the neakasa litter is not great. After trial and error with 3 different litters, I’m using the Dr. Elsey’s premium ultra litter and it is the best by far. It has zero dust and the clumping is perfect for the automatic litter boxes. My cats prefer the self cleaning litter boxes over their old ones, so this is still win, win for me.

This is a great product, especially for a taller automatic litter box. The step makes it much easier for my cats to get in and out, and the grated surface helps catch litter as it falls from their paws instead of being tracked around. The litter drops through the grate where it can be collected and reused. Functional, sturdy, and a great addition to our litter box setup.

Love love love this and so does my tabby! This product traps all litter and also gives her little legs and extra step to get into her litter box saves so much litter from getting everywhere contains it and makes cleaning so much easier. It is strong and does not move from where you places it. It was easy to set up and easy to empty when it fills. This does not leak it gives you extra holes on the side for easy dumping. It is the perfect size for my adult cat

This is our 5th style of automated liter box and is by far the favorite. Both cats use because of the open top design. That alone puts it above the LiterRobot 3 we have. One cat WILL not use and will use floor instead if that is her only option There is no smell....it is even minimal when changing out the bag. Which is quick and easy. Especially since it sends a notice through the app AND has a signal on the front. It is not the cheapest option but worth the price. Would buy again in a heartbeat

There are several reasons I'm very happy with this box. I have had other off brand automatic litter boxes in the past, including litter robot. For starters this has a bigger opening at about 17x17' than those brands. It is also a 'top entry', versus a front entry. It is still front facing I would say but the lip of the front of the box comes up higher than true front entry models and this helps the cats keep the litter in the box. We have 3 cats right now which is what this box says it supports. It has done well - I would not expect anymore to use a single one together of any brand for these type of boxes. The litter holder is on the larger side, and clumping litter easily filters everything along with the strainer when it self-cleans. While it is pricey, you have very similar features to models nearly 1K, like the app insights to track your pets behavior, etc. The appearance is sleek and I prefer it to the more circular models. Update: It seems to be glitching. I am not at all pleased for the price. I would NOT recommend.

I received this "renewed" litter box about 3 weeks ago and it appeared to be in perfect condition with no scratches or scrapes. It was easy to setup and worked perfectly. Compared to cleaning out a traditional litter box the difference has been night and day. No scooping every night AND every time the cat goes back to this litter box, he's digging in clean litter. IT HAS BEGUN TO HAVE ISSUES WITH REPORTING THE WEIGHT OF MY CAT. My cat is 11 lbs and it will often report his weight as being 3 pounds, or maybe 2 pounds. When it's off, it's not even close, it's WAY OFF. That means if I had another cat and I received a notification on my phone, it would be unable to report which cat used it along with the corresponding name and picture. I purchased this because my son bought one several months ago and he has 2 cats, his always correctly reports which cat used the litter box. I'm still in my 30 day window to return it for a refund, so I suppose that is my only option at this point is to return it so that I can and purchase different brand. I'm glad I hung onto the shipping box. That's too bad because except for the weight issue, I really like how this thing looks and works. UPDATE: I went online to the Necasa website and described the weight problem. I believe I was interacting with AI. Nevertheless it gave me some tips regarding distance from the wall and resetting the settings. I also removed the drum and cleaned up the spindles which had a coating of what appeared to be old clay litter from the previous sure. When I put it back together, it worked perfectly. Also, my son had seen the cat had put just his front paws on the litter which (curiosity killed the cat) obviously would have caused the unit to report only about 1/3 of his actual weight. Follow-up by Necasa on my problem was prompt and much appreciated. As such I have updated my rating to 5 STARS.

I read the reviews and seen some of the photos people post on this litter box (and others) and bought the M1 plus because it seemed well made and great price. First the litter. If you use “Worlds Best” litter with this or any litter box, you will have amazing performance. You need to make sure you don’t use those heavy clay litters that get sticky when wet, so the waste slides easily into the bin. The Worlds Best brand will give you that performance. Second read the instructions. Once you fill the litter and level it, you calibrate it so it knows what normal is. How did I get my kitty, who is incredibly fussy to go from a ground level box to climb into this one? First I put it in the spot of her old box but kept her old box next to it. Next I took some of her litter from her old box and sprinkled it in the new one. I turned the power on and did not enable automatic cleaning, for the first week I did manual only. Finally after a week like this I removed her old litter box and that day she used the new one. Oh when you do trigger cleaning when you first use it, make sure your cat is nowhere near it…their introduction to cleaning should be gradual and after they have enjoyed a clean box for several days. Those that take photos of waste sticking to the box on the way to the bin, you are cleaning too fast. You need to let the litter finish absorbing the liquid before it rotates and that is a good 10 minutes. There is a lot of thoughtful design in this litter box and it is a bargain for the price. I hope it has a long life but time will tell.
