I like this step for the Neakasa. It is on the expensive side of things however I like how it catches the litter on the cats feet. We have 3 LR3 which I loathe but my husband refuses to let go of and one has steps and they suck. They come off and the litter sits on the steps and/or goes flying everywhere. This item is a very good addition to a multi cat household. It works as intended. The only caveat is that the latex tray that holds the litter in not indestructible. It has proven to be difficult to replace and ultimately resulted in the need to replace the entire unit - which we did. The convenience outweighed the frugal instinct to go back to manual catboxes. Wonderful product, I received the one without the trap door and I thought it would be an issue for odor but I am pleasantly surprised that there is no odor! My cats love it, they had 2 regular open top litter boxes and immediately started using this one without hassle. There is plenty of space for a 12lb cat. It’s a solid machine that’s super easy to put together and super easy to operate. All together, worth every penny! I would say it’s changed our lives, no more cleaning litter boxes every day, I empty the rather large bag every 4-5 days. As for the bad, the gray gets dirty so fast from litter dust but wipes clean rather easy. This company makes stickers to seal the bottom pad where the litter sits but you have to contact them to get the stickers rather than coming pre-installed or in the order itself. ... show more

We've had this litter box for a couple of weeks now. We put it in the same place as our old one. The cats went to using it right away. After one week our 2 cats nearly filled up the litter bag. So we will probably just plan on once a week changing the bag out. It's great how they always have a fresh box to go potty in. Does what it does well. Expensive for what it is. Hole to pour back out litter is a great idea but hard to use. I think the cats don’t like walking on the grates (as they jump out of the litter box to avoid it, but my older girl needs it. Drop this down to $20 for it to be reasonable.

I bought the Neakasa Cat Pedal Step Stool specifically for the M1 litter box, and I’m really disappointed. The concept sounded great, but in reality it’s poorly designed. The filter function doesn’t work as advertised—litter still gets tracked everywhere, and it actually seemed to make more of a mess than before. The material feels cheap and flimsy, and it doesn’t stay in place well, which defeats the whole purpose of a step stool for a litter box. It also requires constant cleaning, which is ironic considering it’s supposed to help keep things cleaner. Overall, this product did not improve my setup at all. A good addition 3 days ago. Size is perfect, litter gets into the collection tray, pricy but well made and is a suitable design that wont wear out. My young cat likes to flick litter and he jumps fast, this step slows him down and keeps the litter spread and tracking right down. The step stays in place very well. Litter that he flicks out, effectively seams to go into the step - the direction of the step slots redude litter bouncing. My cat likes the litter depth about 80% full. I did a review of the Neakasa M1 auto litter box that has pictures Dec 9th 2024. Trusting where I spend money - Overall The Neakasa brand litter products have been a great success making both myself and my cats lives better and we live in a clean environment.
