This product is amazing! When I was younger, I remember freezing when we went camping in the tent at night. I hated it, but I enjoyed the rest of camping. So, when my family and I decided to go camping for our last vacation, I let husband know I wouldn't do it without something to keep me from freezing. I bought this, and it was perfect! Easy to use, and worked like a charm in the tent keeping us warm. If you use it in a tent, make sure you have good ventilation to keep you and your family safe. And, heads up that the 16 oz tanks only last about 2.5 hours and need to be changed out throughout the night to keep you warm consistently. I recommend getting a large tank and connect with a hose to prevent you from having to change it out so often. Stay warm! 🙂 ... show more

I purchased a Portable Buddy about 10 years ago and it recently died. I liked it so well that I purchased another one. It lights easily and lasts a surprisingly long time on one bottle of fuel. It kicks out a good amount of heat and does not smell. It has two heat settings and it would be nice if there were more adjustments but two is sufficient. I use it in a 25' camper and it really takes the chill off but it isn't enough to heat the whole thing if the outside temp is around freezing. In my view it is effective, safe, and reasonably priced. I suggest getting an adapter to fill you 1lb bottles from a larger propane tank. ... show more

Works great. Preferred the old model with a simple burner on top of a cylinder but could not find it. Probably outlawed it or something because it was too simple and no safety gadgets. Kinda hard to pack around hunting. You have to place it in your stand before hunting day.

I love this little heater. We've struggled to find an easy-to-use, reliable little propane tank heater, and this is the best one we've tried by far. It has lit quickly and consistently everytime I've tried it so far, unlike other brands we've tried this season. I'm very impressed with this unit, especially for the price. I paired this heater with a stove fan and I have to say it's perfect for heating up a small space! I've used it in both a canvas tent and inside my truck bed with a canopy topper. No issues with carbon monoxide, though both places had decent ventilation. Would definitely recommend using with a 20 gallon propane tank and the long hose adapter if you're looking to use it overnight or for extended periods of time. ... show more
