We loved this clock. We had it on the wall where we can view it from our bed. It looked great, but more important to us, we could easily read the time when there was enough light, and it was always quiet. I loved that it has no distracting hand for seconds! Every so often, I would need to reset the time a little bit. However, after a year and a half, I heard loud ticking for hours, and then it broke. We replaced the battery and checked that the replacement battery had a full charge and that the battery was in correctly, and we tried a second battery. This clock is so ridiculous. I've put in BRAND NEW batteries every single week after the return window ended, just a little over a month after I bought it. It doesn't matter the brand of battery I buy, the type they are (rechargeable, long lasting, low voltage, etc.), the clock will slow down within a few days of having the new batteries put in. It's frustrating having to take it down and put in a new set of batteries (not to mention EXPENSIVE!) every 3-4 days. It sucks because I can't even return it for a new one, nor can I get it replaced. Anyway, just something to keep in mind. I've had it since the beginning of September and it began acting up at the end of October/beginning of November.
