So far, so good! The grill arrived quickly and safely. Assembly went pretty well, but—by myself—it took a couple of hours and a good bit of patience. It would be better with two people. Assembly instructions are clear but Spartan, consisting mostly of an "exploded" product assembly diagram, though the order of steps is clear. Once assembled and with gas connected, everything works as advertised. It's a nice-looking grill, quite sturdy and well made, with plenty big for family or family + guests.

“I looooooove this grill!” - my husband. This grill is fantastic! I, his wife, was able to put it together easily especially with the help of the installation video. Cooking on the Monument grill has been a blast! The temperature is easy to control, flare ups are very minimal (and go out on their own so far), the window is a plus as you can see the meat without opening the grill and letting heat out. And the best part is it is easy to clean! Oh my goodness. Our old grill couldn’t be cleaned well and rusted through the bottom pan so being able to remove the grease pan (not just the trap) is incredible and will let us use this grill for years! On top of all this, Monument has amazing customer service! The door happened to be damaged in shipping unfortunately but after messaging on Amazon, Monument responded within a day saying they would replace the door AND send a free smoker! No muss, no fuss! 100% satisfied and now a customer for life. All of my husbands friends are jealous of his new spaceship grill!

Best grill I’ve ever owned. Well packed- no damaged parts and assembly straightforward. I especially like the infrared sear feature. Once I learned how to use it, easier to grill moist steaks to desired temperature. Very convenient drip pan and grease collector. Much more solid build than I expected. The window is a nice feature, especially when grilling on those cold spring and fall days.

I had huge hopes for this grill and after a little more than 3 months, I can comfortably say "meh". I bought this to replace a 12 year old NexGrill that I had purchased from Home Depot. This grill was a couple hundred $$$ more than the similar Nexgrill model and it's reflected in the build quality. This is a much sturdier grill. It's not Weber or Napoleon good but definitely a step up. This makes me sad, however, cuz I am looking forward to replacing it when it wears out. It's just not a good grill for cooking. The cast iron grates are nice but that's about where the positives end for the cooking experience. Heat levels are VERY uneven throughout the grill and cooking on the outer 2 inches around the heating surface is futile (only gets about half as warm), basically reducing the available cooking surface by about 1/3. The temperature control with the dials is actually very good. You can turn them down so low that it almost won't cook anything at all. I guess that could be a plus. It might be due to the glass window, but this grill also does not hold heat well. With the old NexGrill, I liked to do foil wrapped ribs that sit on the grill for about 3 hours with the temp gauge sitting a bit above 300 degrees. However, this same arrangement on the Mesa resulted in uncooked ribs. I had to crank it up to 400 and let them cook an additional 2.5 hours. I experience generally longer cooking times in almost every situation from simple hot dogs and hamburgers all of the way up to thick cuts of steak. 3 Stars because it is built well and does the job but it's just not a good cooking experience and I wish I had spent the extra $200 and sprung for the Weber Genesis.
