  • Best bang for your $
Style: Mesa415BZ
Well made and should last many years. The quality is comparable to the newer Weber gas grill I had to leave when I moved. All stainless burners tubes with porcelain coated cast iron grates work very well. Grill heats fast and lighted dials add nice touch at night. Approx 1-2 hrs of (easy to assemble ) pending your speed. Window does get dirty but is easy to clean. Highly recommend ... show more

  • BEST GRILL EVER!
I recently bought the Monument Grills Larger 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill. It arrived quickly. It was easy to assemble by reading a few instructions one time. I was impressed immediately with the quality of the materials. The burners are high quality and I cannot imagine they'd need replacing for a LONG time. The undercarriage is sturdy and it has an amazing drip pan that is much larger than most! The grates are quality as well, and they seasoned very easily. The pit has very even heat distribution when cooking, and heats quickly. The side burner also heats well and is very impressive. Bottom line, I am 69 years old and have used MANY grills in my lifetime. This Monument grill is the best by far! The price was good, and I contacted their customer service to ask a question and was treated very well. I have no doubt this company stands behind their products. My family loves barbecue, and they love this pit as much as my wife and I do. Best part is how fast it heats up. We throw on a rib eye or two and we are eating within 10 minutes. And it is goooooood! Sure happy with my new Monument Grill! ... show more

  • The best gas grill for the price!
Style: Mesa415BZ
The media could not be loaded. The new Mesa 415 from Monument Grills is very well made. It was packed perfectly so nothing was damaged. The directions were easy to understand and it only takes about an hour to assemble. It has plenty of space for grilling and also has a side burner. I love that it has a sear zone for steaks and can get over 800 degrees! If you are thinking Weber, make the switch to monument! Save money and it is better quality! I love this grill!! ... show more

  • nice grill
This is a really nice grill. I've never bought anything but cheap grills. Although this isn't in the high price range it still was more expensive than what I bought in the past, It is very sturdy and way better than the cheap stuff I bought before. Assembly was average. When I first started I was really impressed. The beginning steps were easy and well described. Some of the intermediate steps were more difficult and the directions and diagrams were cloudy at best. Better directions would be helpful. This is a good grill. It's very powerful and sturdy. Way way better than the cheap stuff that is out there. I will never buy a cheap bargain grill again. ... show more

  • Nice Grill.
Style: Clear view
I was fortunate to have a Holland Grill for years. No flame so working with this grill was great when I bought cast iron insert. I also took my steel mesh from my old grill and putt it over the grates. Work very similar to my old grill now. Easy assembly about 2 hours. Have not used side burner. Plenty of room underneath Prompt delivery. ... show more

  • Mostly Impressed, But Some Quality Concerns
Style: Clear view
It's a pretty full-featured grill that's easy to put together. I assembled it by myself with minimal tools in about 30 minutes, and it wasn't very difficult. It works well enough, with good size and grates and an easy electric start. The metal in some areas isn't as thick as I'd like, and in other areas... the alignment is just slightly off. I bought and attached a rotisserie, and something about the position of the holes on each side and the cut-outs for the bar itself is off... I got it to work, but it took a lot more finesse than I'd expect. Where the hood attaches to the body, it looks slightly off. None of this is not working or bad... it's just sliiiiightly imperfect. It's not a weber, but also didn't cost 4x like a weber. Overall, for the price, I am happy and would purchase it again. ... show more

  • The worst grill I've ever owned. IT'S DANGEROUS!
Style: Clear view
I recently received an email where I was asked by an independent firm if I would review the current grill I owned. Please note that this review is not at the behest of the company, Monument or Amazon. However, this seems a great time to submit a review after three years of owning this grill. The first word of caution is that this is a very dangerous grill. I've experienced three grease fires with this grill, each while my guests were grilling. There is a design flaw with the grill that you'll not be able to identify when shopping online, so buyers beware. The slide-in drip pan is made of an aluminum-weight material and is built to funnel grease across the pan and into a cup that is, well, about a cup, that hangs by a metal handle very near the controls of the propane tank. While this may not be a problem for crumb-catching, it's a major problem when grilling with fatty foods like pork or wagyu beef. The grease drains and drips too close to the flames and easily spreads across the whole drip pan and out the back of the grill, as do the flames. The back of the grill is wide open to the elements and fueling breezes, so when the flames do ignite, the get big very quickly. Thankfully, each time there was a fire, the grill was in a safe place where my friends were safe and the house was unharmed. Note that, when I reported the problems with fires to the company, they simply stated I was not keeping the grease pan free of grease. And I replied they had a design flaw. Nothing! So, boo for their customer service, too. The second issue is temperature control. This grill gets extremely hot (perhaps thus the frequent fires). Basically, hot and hotter, so do not step away from the grill while preheating or while cooking until you become very accustomed to how this grill responds. It's NOT like your other grills. Recently while grilling steaks, I reached for the utensil on the cart shelf attached to the grill and received a serious burn because it had become so hot just laying next to the grill. Mind you, this never happened in all my many years of grilling or I would have been more cautious. I checked the temperature gauge and it was well over 600 degrees. The third complaint I have is regarding all of the pretty bells and whistles, which are just that. The backlit control knobs do not illuminate the controls but are just glow lights that look cool. And, the USB light wand is a great idea and I was super excited about this clever addition but I found that the wand was too short to actually light up the grill, and it rusted out the first year. In my opinion, it should be a minimum of 3 feet long to be useful. Also, the Clear View window became covered with greasy, smoky soot after the first two uses and I have never again been able to get it clean, even with oven cleaner. My best advice is to move on and buy a tried and true brand even if it costs you a bit more. I bought this grill to replace the best grill I've ever owned, my Ducane Four Burner propane grill. Sadly, they are no longer available. I don't write many reviews, but maybe this one will save someone an injury or worse. ... show more
