For a novice, it was challenging to put together. I think the video provided and YouTube videos, not always be specific enough. However the grill is high quality and beautiful enamel finish. You can't find this nice a grill in stores where they sell grills at this price. Love this grill, would recommend as great choice in style, quality and features!!!! ... show more

First off, this was packed well, with plenty of protection; I only had one dented piece in a non-visible spot and a couple inch scratch that doesn't seem to go all the way down to bare metal. To remove the grill from the box without damaging it, I suggest you turn the box on its side and gently shimmy the main part out with all the styrofoam still on. Then lay all your parts out so you can find them easily. While you're at it, do future you a favor and buy a tube of blue loctite and apply a drop to each screw before putting it in to keep them from working their way loose over time. Take your time when assembling it. It's not complicated, but there are a lot of pieces, and it will take a while. This grill looks good and feels sturdy. The temperature is easy to control, and the cooking surface is generous. The sear burner is fantastic if you like to sous vide your food and then just add a quick sear to the outside. I like the blue color, and all the steel seems to be coated to keep away rust, hopefully. A few suggestions for the manufacturer: Add some hooks on the inside of the doors and along the outside shelf for tool storage. Offer an optional grate and ceramic briquets to replace the flame deflectors. Porcelain-coated main grates would be a nice upgrade to prevent sticking ... show more

Easy to assemble and works great! We looked specifically for a grill with a rotisserie and they’re not easy to find. This grill is a good value for the price and features.

    • First one arrived very damaged second one was a fire hazard
The grill came in an undamaged box but the grill itself looked like it came from a car crusher. Ok, not that flat, but damaged on every large piece. It was returned without too many issues and a new one was sent. See my review about the replacement. Apparently I cannot write a separate review about the replacement so here it is. The replacement arrived with a couple of dents in it but we were able to put it together without too much trouble. It looked nice and flamed on when propane was added. All seemed well until I tried grilling. The burner controls were very erratic and unless I stood there with the top open and watched it every second, the food would burn on one end and barely cooke on the other. After putting up with this for several months I was going to donate it to the metal recycling truck but decided to give it one last try. I put 4 hamburgers on and went into the kitchen to get a utensil when I just happened to look out the window to see the entire grill engulfed in flames. The grill was on my wooden deck, under the eaves, next to the brick house. I ran out, pulled the grill into the middle of the deck turned the tank off and doused it with the garden hose. Luckily the house did not catch on fire. After it cooled down I opened the cover and found that 2 of the burgers were still raw. That means the outside of the grill was what was actually on fire. I did not contact the company or amazon because it was past the return time frame. The burner regulators were bad as I had suspected from the start. It went to the curb the next day with a huge sign that said FOR SCRAP ONLY!!!! ... show more

While my first order was damaged in shipping and I had to hassle with Amazon CS to get it reshipped, once I received the grill, I was thoroughly impressed! Assembly, while a tad time consuming, was not as difficult as most reviews here make it seem. If you can assemble a Lego kit, you can assemble this grill no problem. About a 2hr assembly time solo by my estimation, not bad given the size of the thing. I've used it a dozen and a half times already and every single time it's heats evenly and quickly. The top rack gets a nice distributed heat that I've used to cook jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms with great success. The grills are a breeze to clean, as are the drain pans. Overall build quality is great too with a few minor nitpicks such as a small dent on the side of the hood and the left side tray not snugging up as well as it should. In the end, I am very pleased with this purchase and will be recommending Royal Gourmet to my friends and family PS: haven't used the rotisserie feature yet but will update when I do. ... show more

I gave it 2 stars basing it on the price I initially paid. One door was bent, the lid was bent, and the front panel was dented so I had the option of sending it back.. ugh.. or taking a $150 refund. I opted for the refund, because it was already partially assembled and the box was barely intact when it arrived. Pros: great color. Looks just like the pictures. Easy to assemble. Took me 2hrs and that included the time with Amazon because of the damage. Fast shipping. Sure UPS beat the crap out of it, but it did arrive quickly. The rotisserie burner is nice. Cons: lots of dents, dings, damage, and missing hardware. Not made very sturdy. Maybe I’m just used to Weber grills, but this just doesn’t feel solid. Two of the ignition points are already hit & miss on the burners. The doors don’t line up or open/close easily. The caster locking mechanism is questionable. Since it was so beat up, I know that parts will rust so I may have to paint it to extend the life. I think it’ll be a 2yr grill for me, which is acceptable for a $300 grill but not a $450. Glad I kept my Weber, because I’m still using it and this one is riding the bench for now. I’m sure I will use it once the disappointment wears off. ... show more
