I really like this thing and I use it once or twice a week. Stir Fry has become a regular around here. Probably the best for making Fajitas. I cook them on the griddle side then sear them a bit over the flame. Everyone things I am chef grade but this makes it easy for a lot of different things. Best Compliment, my sons recently moved to the coast. I went to visit and took one of them to a nice Mexican restaurant (the other can't stop fishing). After we ate I asked the usual, "How did you like your fajitas" and he said "Good, but not nearly as good as yours". This has been an excellent unit for the price. I enjoy grilling multiple different things on the griddle side — stir fry/eggs/wraps/hotdogs and a lot more — without having to have two separate units to still be able to grill. It has stood up well being outdoors for over a year now. However, I will say: If you do not use it often you might need to invest in some sort of cover for it because the rain will rust the griddle side. ... show more

Needed to move to family member's home for large outdoor party, it broke down very easy and quickly. Had to replace regulator before first use as it would not work. It isn't a high end regulator. Wish there was a full size or dual metal top available for it.

This grill was fairly simple to put together. I was able to do it by myself in just a couple hours. I did purchase a grill cover for it. I have used it a few times so far at it works perfectly. It ignites when it’s supposed to and gives off great even heat.

Pros: It has a small grill and a small griddle. If you have an apartment with a balcony, maybe this will fit your needs. It still takes up a lot of room since the side trays don’t fold. Cons: It doesn’t get very hot and is pretty much useless when it’s windy. With no lid the grill never gets hot enough to sear a steak. The griddle portion is ok, but way to small to cook for a family of 4 on a regular basis. The side trays are too small and the majority of the tray is close enough to the heat to melt plastic. If I’m using both the grill and the griddle, I need to use a folding table as well. Overall, this does grill and griddle for not a lot of money. I wouldn’t recommend it unless budget is your primary concern and you want both. ... show more

I LOVE IT! It arrived in an unbroken package. Grill has easy directions and wasn't missing any pieces (except I never found the "S" hanging hooks, I may have thrown them out with the packaging, but I looked for them and never saw them. They were unimportant to me, as the bar is too low to use for utensils anyway) One mention I have is that, this is not really a portable grill. Its great, but don't buy it with the intention of being mobile. While putting it together, I had a minor issue and called Royal Gourmet directly. They responded very quickly and were super courteous and eager to resolve my issue. I've cooked breakfast bacon, hash browns & pancakes on the griddle. Griddle heats pretty evenly and gets hot enough to get a great sear. I've cooked hibachi shrimp and veggies while grilling steak and everything went off without a single hitch.
