I originally bought this to replace my Char broil 07 version grill. I will be rebuilding my 07 Charbroil grill by welding more metal into the bottom of it to become the primary grill again. Pro's: Price point griddle side Nice surface area for cooking and prep Easily collapsible for storage if you clean it well and take it with you on camping trips Con's: Very susceptible to wind interfering with cooking Need accessories to really make it usable e.g. grill top lids, grill top cover, scraper and similar flat grill utensils Needs a near perfect level surface to drain oil right Other grills have more features, more durability, even cooking at lower price point than this grill. Grill cover is cheap and deteriorates if in view of sun Wish there was a 2 part grill lid kit for this thing...instead I'll be fabricating one. I am sure a lot of the problems and pain points will be resolved after I make a functional hinged lid/cover for this e.g. loss of heat. I put this to the test against my other 2 grills and out of 10 stars I would probably give it a 6-7 stars out of 10 as sold. ... show more

My husband loved his new grill! Beautiful once it was built. Although shipping was extremely rude and they had ruined the package so they had it all taped up and threw my package mid driveway which isn’t the fault of the product but ups. Thankfully it was not damaged inside and everything was included and it worked like a charm🌸 we made some smash burgers with it and man it was good🖤 my husband truly was super happy with this so I would say it was a good purchase 🌸😁 ... show more

Used this exclusively all year so far - I've been using it for the past 6 months after being a hard-core charcoal advocate. During that time, I watched videos and seen recipes which urged me to up the game to griddle, without sacrificing the grill. On the grill side, it works great for brats and dogs. The griddle side is just right for cooking for 4 to 6 people for smaller dishes. Burgers, chicken, sausage, and eggs go great. The grease drain is in the front; it's fairly shallow and the drain hole is not capable of handling "sugary" dishes or sauces. After using a glaze based from honey, my grilling adventures were brought to a screeching halt until I disassembled the griddle side and deep cleaned the tube shaped drain. The griddle top is easy to care for - clean as you go. The grill side is easy to care for. It was a good priced grill, shipping went good with a slight damage to the box - but it was well packed and no harm to the grill itself. Assembly was pretty straightforward and didn't have any issues there assembling by myself. The main -and only- warning I could offer to pass on to others regarding this grill is the grease drainage. It will be a constant concern. The design for the drainage is altogether horrible- as will be experienced if you get too adventurous with sauces and glazes. I’m 70 years old and have purchased several grills in my lifetime and this grill is exceptionally well made with high grade materials and even for an ole fart like me very easy to assemble with the step by step instructions. I put it together last week and have cooked on it nearly every day. Having both a grill and griddle side by side is fantastic and heat distribution on both is excellent. I don’t miss not having a lid because I just cover food with a small dome, I bought an extra one to accommodate larger meats.
