The media could not be loaded. The 24” inch 14 ounce bat (green) suits my 4-year-old son just fine. For reference, he’s 42 inches tall and weighs 36 pounds. He recently started Little League and loves his aluminum bat. The bat is lightweight and allows him to make good contact with the ball. Keep in mind this bat is designed for tee balls (soft tosses are fine, it’s just not designed to withstand 100 mph fastballs from Aroldis Chapman). The lightweight design, however makes the bat prone to denting (see photo). The good news is that Franklin customer service is responsive and was able to honor the 90-day warranty because the bat ended up denting after 30 days of continuous use. The replacement bat from Franklin arrived within 5 days of contacting the company. The new bat shipped directly from Franklin is a different design than the bat that arrived from Amazon (see photo). The new bat says “teeball” in large letters, has slightly different Venom logo pattern, and barrel has a more matte finish. No complaints about the replacement product. The bat meets the USA Baseball standard, which was updated back in January 2018. Overall, this is a great entry-level bat and an excellent value for the money.

Just had signed up my son for t-ball and I bought this bat without knowing if it was appropriate for someone his age. He is 3 1/2 years old. I am glad I purchased on Amazon. The prices was reasonable at $20. Anything cheaper I would suggest going to walmart. I took a trip to Big 5 after I had purchased and still glad this bat was the better design. My kiddo loved it and shark was a nice add. Definitely will be buying more Franklin products in the future!
