Description

For 45 years, Mongoose has been in the dirt, down the trails, and on the ramps. Founded in 1974 in a Southern California garage, Mongoose was born from BMX Racing with products that push the limits of what a rider can do on the track. Our latest line of BMX race bikes, the title series, have been designed using that same race pedigree. Designed for beginner-level riders, the Mongoose Title Micro gives you a trophy-worthy bike at an amazingly affordable price! The title features a lightweight Tectonic T1 aluminum frame (16. 50” top tube), integrated headset, and internal cable routing for clean lines and added protection. The title hi-ten steel 2-inch rise handlebar and 30mm stem are designed for precision riding, while the strong Exposure double-wall alloy rims and Arisen XLR8 BMX race tires add crucial durability without weighing you down. The 39x16t gearing with two-piece tubular chromo 130-millimeter cranks, and Euro cartridge bottom bracket offer a high-quality drivetrain capable of winning speeds. Aluminum linear pull bikes with aluminum brake levers provide speed control, while the hi-ten BMX fork with 1-1/8" Thread less steered and taper leg helps maximize performance. This bike ships ready to be assembled and comes with a 5-year limited on the frame and a 1-year limited on parts.

  • Great first race bike!M
My 4 year old started BMX racing this season, and her previous bike is just not competitive enough. She has been on a balance bike since 17 months, and this is her second peddle bike. It was very apparent her previous bike was her limiting factor, with 16" tires and with a belt drive changing gear ratios isnt much of an option. She is racing boys twice her age, on micro and mini sized bikes. She took to this bike like a fish to water. She was jumping sections she would lose ground on previously. She is significantly faster on this bike. So fast I was unable to keep up with her on the little schwinn stingray I would ride with her. She left me in the dust. The bike came mostly assembled and i pulled the headset and wheel bearings to properly grease and shipping. I had to remove all the reflectors, chain guard, and replaced the plastic peddles. There was grease, but more for storage. Not a problem as you should be doing that with a new bike if you are not paying a bike shop to properly set the bike up for you. I have a feeling my girl is going to be crushing the competition and some dads egos next Saturday morning!! ... show more

  • Good starter BMX racing bike
I think the weight and components of this bike are pretty good. These are the loaner bikes at my local track. There are some chain line (chain rubs the chain stay if you don’t do this) issues with the micro mini that require the removal of one link. Other than this I think it is a good buy for $250. When kids are so young it doesn’t make sense to sink $700-$1000 in their race bike. I also wish it was specced with some thinner tires. 1.125 would be better than 1.25 for a micro mini. Overall though, a good bike. I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Decent bike
My son is 4 and rides this with no problems. All in all it’s a great beginner bike for bmx. Only bummer was the front tire wouldn’t hold air after assembly. Had to get a new tube and valve stem immediately. Before he could even ride it. Other then that I would definitely recommend this for any beginner ... show more

  • Great customer service
Color: Black Size: 20-Inch Wheels Style: Expert
Bike came missing washer and bolts for front wheel. Also rear wheel bearing sticking. Could not turn pedal or tighten the chain. Lon was great in helping to replace parts. But the bike should have been rideable out of the box. Update 5-10-24: son has raced this bike 3 times and only 4 hours of practice time. The handle bars kept moving after each time around the track. The goose neck and handle bar brackets are now stripped due to the tightening. Lon at mongoose customer service is great. But the product is NOT! Would not recommend even as a starter bike. ... show more

  • Poor Quality and Non-existant Customer Service
Unfortunately I cannot recommend purchasing this bike. I had very high hopes based on previous experiences with Mongoose however this experience will push me away entirely. There are several issues with the bike, the most glaring is a cosmetic quality issue but goes to show the poor overal quality control. The primary mongoose stickers on the down tube are upside down. The bigger issues are the front gear and the rear hub are both bent. I have contacted mongoose twice with pictures and have received no response. Good customer service can make up for some poor quality control however this experience has shown that mongoose has both poor quality and poor customer service. ... show more

  • Awesome bike for the money!
Bought this for our 8 year old son as he’s getting started into BMX racing. So far so good! He is doing really well on this bike and it seems to be holding up well. I think this bike seems to be a great value for someone just getting into the sport and should serve well as you improve/advance.

  • Basic
My son loves this bike, but it's much smaller than what I expected. The frame is very thin, but seems sturdy. For the price, I do not think this bike is worth it.
